This wine is amazing. I am excited that I have waited on it this long and have 2 bottles left.

I have not had one of these in years. Did not know what to expect. Tasted like an 03 Bordeaux. I was very happy to have waited and now bummed to not have any left.

Tasted horribly upon opening. Hot, spicy, bitter. After about an hour started to improve and at about 2 hours became balanced.

I am not experienced with well aged port. Very light. Seems like there is a lot of life left in it. Double decanted and drank shortly thereafter. I was concerned about letting it die in the decanter.

Exceeded my wildest expectations. My guests actually preferred it (although they are wrong) to Dow 2000.

Not your typically stylied varieties of Chateauneuf's. Very smooth. Light dark fruits. Not spicy. Nicely integrated tannins.

Amazingly the 04 Foley Claret was a clear winner over the 03 QC. I was shocked but our table of 5 at Sparks last night was unanimous.

This wine blew away the 02 Dominus and incredibly the 03 Quilceda. It was unamimous among a group of 5. Perhaps the QC was a weak bottle (but it was not corked). Excellent dark fruit and integrated tannins.

Day 1 I was not impressed. I did not get the depth that others have described although I thought the midpalate was interesting. I disliked the finish. 88. I saved some for Day 2 given the other reviews. Completely different. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Drank with Ruben. I much prefer the 2001. This is a fine effort but does not have the complexity and depth of the 2001. I will drink now-it does not seem to have long aging potential.
