Satin-Like texture with a medium finish - it has had a enough time, i get a little dust, just a little oak, it work well with a Michael Symon Broiled Porterhouse with Roasted Garlic oregano and lemon, smooth tannins, deep and rich ,

It was nice to drink an old friend, the wine aged nicely, a little dusty and smooth feel, dark blackberry, dark chocolate. I had the wine with a fillet, at Tapestry in Los Gatos, the food was very good, they are open until early January so get in soon. Before Gary and Vicky start their next project.

I really liked the 2008, but the 2009 is even better!!! I should have bought a case. Dark French pressed coffee, chocolate, yellow raspberry, and think cut bacon slab. Aerated into the glass and drank, wanted to see how it would taste after an hour but it did not last that long.

Tongue staining dark wine. Smooth dark mouth coating, lingers on palette, not as much pepper as thought it would have, the fruit is not that bright it is there but I get more olive and meat flavors with the fruit. Some stone flavors also. I think my tongue might be permanently stained.

My wife and had a bottle of the 2008 "on the road" last night with dinner, a little pork belly, prime rib, and chocolate mudslide cake, at Citrus, Santa Row a new Chef, so we thought we would give it a try, the food has improved. Back to the wine it had a nice acid level to work with food, well balanced, blackberry, cocoa, coated the palette and work best with the chocolate mudslide cake. I really enjoyed this wine.

Twisted and poured at Parcel 104. Just got the wine in the mail couple of days before, but could not wait to try, AP Vin had got a score 95 WS for the 97 Turner it became my favorite wine. I think was little too excited and opened early to find the magic in a bottle. I this wine is a great wine but it is going to need a couple of years. Plum flavors, blackberry, good acid, paired nice with the veal chop and cheesy polenta.

More sherry like since last time, rasin, very sweet, not sure more time is going to improve this wine. I just pop and pour this one a little more air could have helped.

I find merlot go great with Mexican food, or tex-mex. This bottle did not disappoint on that, with it cherry and smoky oak, dark smooth flavors were a perfect complement to the Chevy's tex-mex, enchiladas and tacos, a great deal with five dollar corkage charge.

Spent the weekend in Napa, met Joe Filippini the wine maker when we were out and about. We got to talking and we met him for a drink at the Rutherford Grill. We did not wait long after our Margareta sit down and open up this bottle with well integrated wine with enough mid pallet to last a good number of years. The nose was a little hidden at the beginning of our meal but it opened up during the meal reviling nice red and black fruit, and coffee notes. It paired well with my steak and enchiladas, and my wife’s prime rib French dip.

I don't have a lot of experience pairing dessert wines on my own so I took the wine to Parcel 104 at the marriott in Santa Clara. We left the dinner/dessert choices in the hands of the professionals- Brain, the resturant manager and Executive Sous Chef Carlos Sanchez. We had eaten a late lunch, so Brian's recommendation of the pork belly hot pot was perfect. The wine picked up a spicy peachy pit. Becaue their menu changes often, go soon to give this a try. the pairing was fantastic! We continued with a three course dessert menu prepared by Carlos we sat at the counter and watched the magic happen, Warm tapipocia pudding poured over fresh fruit, perfect flan, and chocolate preparations that were magical. All perfectly paired to our wine. An exceptional experience!
