One of the worst aging wines we have ever had from Chimney Rock.

Total garbage, loaded with mega purple. Would actually do well on top of pancakes as a replacement for syrup, which it is.

Definitely has mega purple in it, similar to anything from Caymus. Add the syrup to chase the ratings but the wine tastes closer to a port.

It wasn't terrible, but it just happened to follow a Williams Selyem 2012 Eastside Neighbors pinot that was incredible.

Still very young, would recommend giving this another 5 years of age.

This one surprised me - still has a few more years on it and it is full bodied and has a great finish.

Not a fan of this one - almost tasted like it was carbonated. Perhaps a bad bottle since most other wines from Failla have been great.

This is a great wine, probably just now coming into its prime. Probably has another 5-7 years on it, but is really good now.

We were surprised by the amount of tannin the wine has given its age. This is a really good wine that could probably go another 5 years for even more enjoyment.

Good wine, lots of oak. My gut is that is could use another 3-4 years to reach it's peak.

I think this will end up being a good wine, but I believe I opened it about 5 years too early. A little clunky but I think it has a lot of potential once the tannins subside a bit.

Too much mega purple making it too sweet. I rated it an 80, other non-wine drinkers (who love sweet wines) loved it, so I gave it a 85.

I'm sorry to contradict so many other opinions on here, but this wine is total crap. It is so doctored up that you really can't tell whether or not its a port or a cab. I would really love to see an ingredient statement from the winemaker, as there are so many chemical and color additives to this wine that it makes it undrinkable with food. Most of our group thought it tasted like crap, except for one member who only likes sweet dessert wines. Unfortunately I have 5 more.

I'm guessing that Caymus is a big fan of Mega Purple -- which would explain the color and the sweetness of this wine. It definitely doesn't taste like a cab.
