Some volatile acidity on nose with PnP. I liked this better with 12 hour decant, for some crisp sour cherry on palate, drying tannins, minerals. After 24 hours in decanter, even better. I'll wait 5+ years before opening another bottle. Should age very well for another 5-10 years.

Amazingly similar notes as two years ago. Not much on nose. But palate is fresh and lively with lemony acidity, a little rancio. Nice with pan seared flounder with ginger and scallion.

Deep maroon in glass to rim. Effusive nose, won't give up, fills the table. Distinctive Italian blend on palate, full bodied, balancing acidity, hidden tannins. Was shut down when tasted a year ago, now drinking best with 36 hours in decanter, or in 5+ years, properly stored.

Intact cork when pulled slowly, carefully. Subtly fuller bodied than its clear burgundy color would indicate. Palate did not budge when left in glass overnight. Maybe its hint of fruit has gone, a bit of tannin has appeared. Is this wine ageless?

From half bottle, a nice drink at dinner with PnP. But glass left on table was exceptional in the morning. Smooth tannins, distinct red fruits, medium to full bodied with Margaux elegance. For me, way better than a Bloody Mary.

Light hay color. Distinct tropical fruit on nose with PnP. First sips were light and ethereal growing a little more substantial with air. Enjoy now with PnP and should continue to drink well for a few more years.

Agree with Cote D'or note. Day 2, hardly budged, a little truffle.

Light gold with hints of green. Intense aroma of ripe citrus and tropical fruit. Palate is light bodied, dry but fruity with fresh acidity. Open bottle 30 minutes before pouring or drink Summer, 2020.

Agree with Lemberger's note. Not a light, ethereal Mosel. Delicious, full bodied, mellow fruitiness balanced with lots of acidity and minerals to make it very food friendly. More grapefruit than pineapple. Long finish. Day 2: hardly sweet, very balanced sweet/sour.

Light to medium gold. Distinct, wafting nose is just terrific. Palate is fruity but not blowsy or buttery. Touch of oak adds a little complexity. Balanced with sufficient acidity to continue to mature. Web site says up to 10 years. I think maybe 2022 or 2023 this vintage.

Their web site says it better than me: The nose is complex and rich with fruity and mineral notes. On the palate, fat and roundness dominate on the attack and the finish is long and powerful. Good with sole meunière. After a few years it will be perfect with smoked salmon.

From .375, full bodied and slightly rustic. I think this half was shut down. Recommend long decant or open day ahead, then much smoother.

Subtle citrus and island fruit on palate, that balanced with plenty of mellow acidity. Perfect with a creamy pasta with cubes of acorn squash. Would also work with chicken or mild fish with a savory tropical fruit salsa.

Perfect cork, purchased as futures, professionally stored since. Pouring at cellar temp seemed just right. Lead pencil on nose and palate. some dark berry fruit, integrated tannins, very smooth. Bought cheap when everything French was discouraged here because of their opposition to U.S. invasion of Iraq (remember freedom fries?).

This bottle was medium gold with perfect fill and cork. An excellent aged, almost beerenauslese Riesling at 29 years. Palate of sweet/sour grapefruit. Extremely subtle and elegant.

From mag. Great choice for a winter gathering of family and friends. Complex, big wine. Not plummy or hot. Some firming tannins that did not distract from dark fruit. Excellent change from the much more subtle Cabs and Pinots we usually drink.
White - Off-dry

This bottle was medium gold, more advanced color than 5 months ago. Slightly sweet and fruity, with hint of bitter acidity, making it good with food: northern Italian, Alsatian, Asian or with appetizers to start. Balanced and lively.

Recommend PnP. Probably at peak. Better than 2 years ago. Fruit has now completely integrated leaving a nice nose of forest leaves, oak, currants. Palate is medium to full bodied, firm and complex, with some drying tannins. Very little sediment.

Compared to 8 months ago, wine is open again and has added a little weight. Deep maroon in glass to rim with glints of pink. Wafting raspberry nose. Balanced, fruity on palate. Medium bodied. Cellared bottles should continue drinking well to 2024.

Revisited last half of bottle after sampling two months ago with Coravin. Medium deep gold color. Sweet/sour but restrained, not cloying. A little herbal on palate, not acetone like before. Medium to full bodied. Still smooth and integrated. But probably past prime.

Medium ruby in glass with hint of purple. Smooth texture and some cherry fruit when first poured after brief decant to remove a little fine sediment. Becomes firmer and more acidic on palate with air. Needs overnight decant or 3 - 4 years more.

At 18 years, still pours light yellow. Nice nose of fresh spring flowers. On palate, refreshing citrus acidity, just starting to taste some lemon cream. Has the balance and acidity to become honeyed in one or two years.

Watery hay color. Nice minerality, firm acidity, no oxidation in this bottle. More texture than flavor. Good with ricotta. I wonder if this can improve.

Deep maroon color. Enjoyed with PnP at cellar chilled temp. Smooth, full bodied, graphite predominates, hint of dried herbs. Hidden tannins emerge after 30 minutes in glass.

Light gold with hint of green. This bottle was fresh and firm, lacy, hint of citrus on palate. Not as austere as Chablis. But the opposite of a full bodied, buttery new world Chard. Great food wine and on its own, too.

Medium brick red. Delicate nose. This Rioja riserva is now a grand dame at more than 35 years. Still drinking smoothly with firming acidity, sour cherry on palate, some plum on the medium long finish. Does not have the complexity of an aged Bordeaux. But a good example of a great vintage in Spain.

Still light gold color. Nose is open and generous. At first the palate is straightforward with fresh acidity, then discrete oak sneaks up, becoming complex and layered.
