Over the top pinot that isn't very enjoyable with food. Plus all the corks have been dry on the last 3 bottles opened.

Drank outside at Tree Tavern w olive pizza and beef sliders. Very enjoyable wine with some character. We tasted smoke, leather, dark berries, smooth tanins and balanced acidy.

Drank over 2 nights with chicken parm. It seemed to have a lot going on but it just wasn't melding together correctly. Maybe it needs more time. Nice amount of acidity.

Dark full body wine. Pnp lots of jammy fruit w a touch of sweetness that was good but a bit over the top. The 2nd night everything mellowed out into an even more enjoyable wine.

Drank after 2006 Rudius West Block Adler Springs and the Rudius was the winner. The fruit was a bit overwhelming compared to the Rudius which seemed more integrated into the wine. This may need a few years. Still a quality wine that has a lot going on for $15. The fruit flavors ranges from sweet, sour, and dark. The finish is spicy.

I really enjoyed this wine over 7 hours while eating homemade mushroom and pepper pizza. Loads of dark and red fruit (almost too much), mouth watering acidity and a real nice long lasting finish. Enjoyed more with than without the pizza.

Let decant for 2 hrs and drank over the next 3 hrs. This reminded me of a Belgian beer it was so sour. Is this strong sour cherry taste normal for a Rioja? The color was brick with a brown outer ring. Is this a bad bottle? Formula7records@gmail.com

Drank over 2 nights. On the 1st night things got real interesting about 45 minutes in when the dark fruits, spice, tannins and oak really came together to make for some nice wine that would fit right at home on a crisp fall or winter night. On the 2nd night things were less interesting and the fruit almost had a jammy thing going on which I wasn't really feeling.

Nice balanced wine that I drank over 2 nights. The first night it was more dark fruit with loads of black pepper. The 2nd night it mellowed out to more red and dark fruit with a little less spice at the end. Would buy again at $12.
