Much more of a New World style (tropical fruits, etc.) than I'm used to in this wine. Nice to drink, to be sure, but I prefer a slightly more restrained Sancerre. Maybe the vintage, maybe a deliberate change by the vintner?

Coming along nicely. The heat is largely gone and it's in fact lusciously integrated now.

Popped and poured; drier, subtler, and less oaky than many other weeknight Chiantis we've had recently.

Indistinguishable in color from iced tea. Cloudy too. Oxidized sherry-liked flavors. Elected not to drink this one.

Excellent on the first day after ~30 mins. of decanting; crashed after a night in the fridge -- disappointingly muddled and metallic. Finish next bottle at one sitting?

Very light and drinkable, and nothing to dislike. A brown-sugary note can either enhance or detract, depending on your mood.

Good aromatics, but a bit hot and unintegrated on the palate. Needs some age.

A little less sugar and a little more acid would've improved an already very good wine. Secondary characteristics, like a faint note of petrol, just beginning to show. Slumming, we drank this with fried chicken.

Wonderful everyday quaffer; slightly better than the Apremont.

Good inexpensive quaffer; not as good as the Abymes.

A go-to Riesling with an ideal balance of minerality, acidity, and fruit.

Lots of potential, undeniably, but give this one a couple more years, or at least be sure to decant.

Usually a very good, reliable supermarket Riesling, but I ended up pouring this particular bottle into the Charles Shaw I keep in my fridge for cooking wine.

I should've given this a bit more time in the cellar, or at least decanted it. It's got a lot of potential but is not quite ready to drink right out of the bottle.

This tasted good but to my mind not like a Chianti -- it lacked the acidity and the forward cherry flavors caused palate fatigue.

I was surprised, given the past notes, to find that this is actually quite a tasty sipping wine, and a perfectly decent entry-level burgundy.

Has filled out a lot since our first bottle a few months ago; nice, relatively rich (for a Beaujolais); can age some more.

A lovely Oregon pinot that opened up dramatically after about 10 minutes of being open. Well-balanced and on the slightly sweet side, but not obtrusively so. Refrigerated half in a 375mL bottle; even better the next day.

Bracingly stony and dry, typically for the appellation, but with a nice grapey flavor. Let this one age and see how it changes.

Delicious. Sweet floral nose, very well-balanced on the palate (with classic GV flavor, including subtle hints of fizziness and minerals), and with a nice long finish.

A really nice pinot for Christmas dinner, with a sophisticated, aged, burgundian quality. A tad hot, but this wears off with aeration. Drink now or wait a few more years.

Sweet and minerally, reminiscent of a sweet Riesling. Very good. I think I'll wait a few years before opening my next one; the acidity is not especially pronounced but I'd still like to see how it evolves.

Outstanding; wish I had more. Black fruits, not too rustic, and perfectly balanced, with the 15% Cabernet Sauvignon playing a key role keeping it dry, offsetting the fruit, and supplying soft tannins.

Big change since the last bottle: like soda pop that has gone flat, this seems to have lost its acidity, which was so pronounced a year ago.
