WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! I was lead to believe by reviewers that this wine was close to 90.... how misleading... this wine is flat and offers very little.

This has a nice full-bodied flavour that paired wonderfully with our chili last night. Excellent QPR.... totally recommended for anyone who likes a good value Italian wine for weekdays. I'm going to get some more of these if there are any left at Vintages this weekend!!

This was fine. A bit acidic and with some too strong mineral elements, bordering on off-dry.

Definitely pair this with food, and I would recommend something tomato-based to balance out the acidity. If you are having it on its own, make sure it is your 3rd or 4th bottle of the party... :)

80 is pushing it. This is watery and flavourless. I tasted it, poured my glass down the drain and put a cork in the bottle for cooking.

Wine seems to have lost some of its ruby colour and seems to be passing its prime. Would recommend drinking now or risk losing the wine.

There are some red wines that should only be had with dinner because they are so boring on their own. And then there are red wines which offer a really nice experience in the glass and don't need food. This wine is in the latter category. A nice experience in the glass - I give it a 90 because I would happily drink this on its own a second time. But it would definitely not merit anything beyond the 90.

This is a perfectly fine, yet somewhat predictably fine, Chilean cab sauvignon. Nothing to expound on beyond saying it doesn't disappoint, but also does not have a wow factor pulling it above a 90.

I can't rate this wine. I opened it based on the ratings that were posted. Let it decant 4 hours. Even after 4 hours it was quite harsh in terms of tannins and acidity - so much so, it was hard to discern the nose (definite heat on the nose) and the flavours, which were just overpowered by the tannins and acidity. After this experience, I've decided this wine will be an experiment in aging wine. I look forward to seeing if the extra year or two in the bottle will make it approachable. Right now, it is not approachable and anyone holding this should continue to hold it. My advice is be patient and keep it corked at least until 2012.

Really tight when we first poured it, but it blossomed nicely over the course of 1 hour sufficiently to be enjoyed with a tomato based pasta sauce. Wine has to be decanted and HAS to be had with food.

Really loved this one this evening. Strong fragrant fruitful nose; strong tannins and typical cherry/smoke taste - yep. Sorry I don't have more of this for another time. Will watch for it next year and get a case.

Maybe it's because the wine was served in little claret goblets, but we could not denote an easily discernable nose on this wine, so judgement on the nose is reserved for a future tasting. I thoroughly enjoyed the developed rioja flavours which remained dominant in the mouth for a good length of time - I figure this is due to its age. This wine can stand up to food like seasoned roast beef, but I would still keep the food a bit toned down, just to allow for a full enjoyment of the wine. So, hold the seasoning. This wine is definitely worth the price and is good to drink now.

Solid, dependable full-bodied red wine. You can't go wrong with this one as an everyday red wine to match with any dish containing red meat.

Had on its own. Fruity/grape-juicey, juicy and coated the back of my tongue a little bit. Maybe it needs the right pairing, whatever that might be. A red meat - venison - with a reduced cherry-based sauce comes to mind. Not so great with Hawaiian pizza, which is where that was heading until I switched

This one has to age; not yet ready to drink. We tasted at the winery yesterday and it is still very young. Winery says drinking window is 2012-2014. I would definitely let this sit for a few years and if not, you need to decant it for a few hours before judging it.

Aerated and decanted and let sit for 1 hour (which is a MUST at this date as it seared my tongue on first taste re: lost 'o' tannins)... the wait was well worth it. Wafting cherry, tobacco on the nose and such a balanced, full flavoured wine that worked well alone and with our risotto... I joked to my husband that this was not only a wine, but also a drug that put me in the clouds. I didn't want the experience to end. Thankfully, I have 5 more of these left. WOW.

Boring. I am convinced France dumps its low-grade Bordeaux on private societies offering wine in Canada and members run into unfortunate surprises, like I mostly did. This is drinkable, but so boring it makes you want to pour it down the drain.

Nice powerful fragrance in the glass; medium to full bodied merlot... but still working the green pepper flavours in this wine, which is not my personal favourite flavour presence. For the type of wine, this is well worth the buy and will not disappoint at this price.

Bought this on the strength of reviews for top Italian wines under $25. Hugely disappointed. Thin, flavour is barely there... and this is from someone whose main holdings are Italian!! Glad I only have 1 more in my cellar. Borrring.

When popped, poured and smelled within minutes, the smell was of cherry-flavoured Kool-Aid... a bit worrisome. After a solid hour in the glass, it became slightly more complex. I enjoyed this wine more last year at this time than this year. Not sure what that's all about. On it own, it was definitely not 90+, but paired with our turkey dinner, it was quite fine.

This wine is good. My last bottle does not present the intense corked smell and taste of the prior 2/4 bottles but my socks are still on... not worth further purchases... bear in mind, this TN is from someone who is not a huge fan of South American red wines generally.

We aerated and kept this open in decanter for 2 hours. That was necessary as the wine took some time to develop over the 2 hour period. Once sufficiently aerated, the smell of sour cherries, tobacco, dark chocolate in this med-light bodied wine made us swoon and the flavours and finish were very consistent with the smell. This is not just a wine drinking experience but a euphoric journey with every smell and sip!

I would repeat what I wrote in my last TN. Don't pop, pour and drink right away. As of this date, you must let this beauty evolve in your glass or decanter over 1-2 hours and then wow... lovely.

Label describes the wine well. I found this to be a heavy Pinot Noir, heated on the nose, oaked and heavy on the barnyard/spice element of taste and smell. It was "okay" but not good enough to make me go out and purchase a case. I'll like the next 2 bottles, but won't pull them out for a special occasion.

After about 20 minutes, this wine opened up and was an impressive wine for the $20CDN sticker price. WOW. Love it and will run out to buy six more as soon as possible. The flavours are described extremely well in other reviews so I will let them stand on their own. Not sure about the 84... maybe that person's bottle was off. This wine is a GREAT value for what you get.
