I love Turley wines, but I don't think this one deserves high marks. It's a little over the top at 16% alc. Upfront it's juicy and sweet which invites a second taste. The mid plate is round and silky, but it's the finish that throws me for a loop. The black pepper, cinnamon, oak and alcohol all collide to take over the finish and leave a bitter taste. I have to say I tried this wine without food. I believe this wine will pair well with a big steak, ribs or grilled chicken very well.

At $50+ you can do better.
