The rating is based on if you like fully matured wines, the tannis were very silky and not BDX like, guess 99 was not a great year. This bottle is certainly well matured and further aging would probably not improve it. 他特地布林带and quite hard to pinpoint the original as matured reds shared so many common characteristics.

well matured but likely can be aged further, creamy, yeasty and rather on the heavy side, not really the style I liked but nevertheless a well made bottle.

still quite young, from the color and the aroma profile. My last batch were 2004, this batch hopefully will last a few years.

very nice golden yellow color, time to drink up, great value but would rather pay a bit more for more depth, excellent for the money though.

color shown was very aged, almost brownish orange, much to my surprise, also very heavy sediments. Still a great wine but lacked power, just elegance.

cooked peach/apple with honey but with great acidity, a great wine to pair with curry, which we had tonight. Still with years to go I think since the acidity is so good but why wait, drink up!

tasted blind and completely fooled by the young color that showed, almost a tint of purple, this couldn't be more than 10-12 years right? Well, the joy of blind tasting! For a syrah, tannin were very fine and profile does not point to a new world variety, after 2 rounds, gave up!

tasted blind, chardonnay for sure but where? At lower temperature, it was rather closed and almost thought as north as Chablis but as it warms up, became more oily and rounded, nuts and cream too, so back to the south. Guessed Montrachet 1st cru, well, close enough!

2nd bottle, this time the tannin were silky, very matured and well balanced. Acidity OK but higher would be preferred. Lasted quite a few hours while using 2 different size of Burgundy glassware, both were suitable. Cork was in very dry state and literally fell to pieces on opening attempt, had to use a filter to salvage the bottle.

somewhat on the downside, still elegant but lacks power and depth. Not worth the price, many other better choices. But if BDX is your thing then why not, I prefer a bottle of similar priced Barolo.

Room temp quite low, wine still young, many good years ahead, nose was subdued perhaps due to low temp? Palate was very silky and Margaux like, not much flora notes tonight, disappointing.

room temp was a bit low and it took a while for the wine to open up. After about 30mins, lots of aroma appeared, most notable was the mocha coca aroma which was very nice. Not very spicy tonight. Still young and expect a good many years ahead.

tasted blind, thougt it was a good vintage, classic left bank, dense but fine tannins. still enough fruit to keep the balance. Bravo for a weak vintage. According to my friend, he bought this at the chateau a few years back!

quite well developed , very nice now but more time in the cellar should yield a even better performance perhaps?

Round and smooth, nutty and creamy, for me a touch of pinot would be perfect.

not much classic terrior of st denis although a well made wine it was. Rather dark for a Pinot but nevertheless very fine tannin and medium ripe red fruit, usage of oak was not excessive but may have contributed to the drak color.

a classic, although I prefer Riesling from Alsace, or rather the drier ones, this one does not bother me with the sweetness as it was well balanced with the great acidity and minerals.

an amazingly young Rioja, tasted blind and the acidity was so good that pinot was suspected. Very well cellared indeed and what a pleasure to drink. Fruit has faded somewhat but the overall balance and structure was very good. And what can I say, the color, hardly any brown edges, bravo!

Golden color was a surprise, perhaps the storage? But the wine condition was good and full of flavors, well rounded and very pleasing, youmay say a lack of character but for some evenings, perfect. I felt the dosage was just right, being xtra brut, a tinge of sweetness can be felt or was it the fruit, in any case, highly recommended. Somewhat pricey, but still affordable.

Still quite fresh despite the 11 years, very good acidity which was balanced with ample fruit, makes this a yummy wine with spicy food, we had curry, very well matched. A classic style which in general not my favorite, I prefer the drier types, like a GG or dry Grand Cru from Alsace. But with spicy food, this was quite nice.

Tasted blind, still full of vigor, red fruits, floral, light bodied and guessed a well made pinot but with some oak. Later more complexity developed and tea leaves, woodiness and some darker fruits..........switched to barbaressco. What a wine! One of the most satisfying and mysterious wine for a long time, Loved it! Bravo Jerry, for picking this up in Italy!

Fully matured and very creamy, rather full bodied. Nuts and bisquit some fruits but not obvious, well structured and bit on the heavy side, while very good, a bit heavy for a Summer evening.

Surprisingly well structured and would not have guessed BDB at all. fresh and full of vibrant minerals but more aging might bring out more complexity.

The acidity was amazing and if tasted blind, might even guessed north Rhone, just simply so good that you keep pouring, has everything you want, though the spicyness of syrah did not show much.

not as aromatic as last time, but the room temp was a bit low, around 18C. Tannins were silky, but somehow detect a bit of nail polish which spoiled the fun, normally it would go away after some time but this time this lingered for quite some time. Still a very enjoyable bottle nevertheless.

never understood the style of this house, even visited them and did the tasting with the wine maker once but I just dont get it. tried maybe 3-4 bottles in the past and always lost. Just too big and oily and intense for my taste. hence the low rating.

perfect level and cork condition, entering peak and still has a few more years on the up based on last nights performance. Very classic BDX cedar, cigar box, graphite and an underlying layer of fruit. Long finish. Firm but round and fine tanins. Everything you would expect from a great vintage and a good chateau.

based on the condition of the cork, which looked rather new, this bottle could be re-corked, the level was very high for a 30 year old as well. That said, it was a great bottle, silky tannis, lots of mushroom and herbal notes, dried roses, you name it, this one got them all. why only 91? it does lacked fruit somewhat and also a little more structure would suit me better, well, after all, this is the Queen of Neb.

somewhat on the light side but still enjoyable, thought it would be more structured as it was made of 100% pinot noir. fine bubbles, very clean finish and plesant. Somewhat chalky, not too nutty yeasty but just right for me. A good value bottle for sure. will but some more.

need to drink up, upon opening, very smooth and fine tannins, floral notes which was surprising, as didn't expect it from a village grade GC. color was rather dark for a pinot and likely due to oak aging. Did not come across as powerful. 2-3 hours later, floral notes gone and some complexity emerged.
White
should have stayed away for a few more years I think, wine is not integrated and tasted like eating chalk powder, not very enjoyable. Even after 3 hours, still very raw, try again tonight.

amazing old riesling, sweetness much lowered but acidity was excellent, good all the way and probably can drink a few days more. The bottle suffered some heat damage while in Germany where this bottle was picked up. It was in my suitcase in the car for a week or so.

good bottle condition, cork still in one piece but soaked through, level was good for the vintage. Took about 1 hour to fully open, very fine tannins and complex aromas of cigar box, leather and spices. Fruit lacking at first but came in around 2 hours after opening, some flora notes as well. Not worth the $ for sure but once in a while, you need this to remind you of classic Bordeaux!

Very interesting winr using some late harvest or even boytritis grapes, quite nutty and slightly oxidized but with a charming touch. The 15% alcohol is probably the highest of any white wine that I ever drank but not much heat was felt, highly recommended if you wanted something REALLY interesting!

Tasted blind and very difficult to place, the tannins were really ripe and soft, nose a bit plummy but not over done. Color was beautiful ruby with a hint of garnet. A great pleasure to drink with some roasted pork!
White - Sweet/Dessert
need more acidity to balance it in my opinion, better not rate this as I was not impressed by this style.
