A wine that whispers gently and elegantly, and it has a very interesting message to share. White flowers, oatmeal and minerality on the delicate nose. Similar profile on the palate and with a lovely long finish. Perfectly balanced with nothing sticking out. A savoury, mineral wine that isn't sharp, it's round and mouth filling but delicate at the same time. Absolutely stunning. A wine to sit and contemplate and enjoy with simple savoury food.

Really quite stunning. Full of verve and energy but with plenty of fruit, spice and body to wrap around the striking acidity. Great length. Probably drinking at its apogee now, as I fear that as the fruit fades the acidity might be too spikey.

Wow, really delicious. Very fine line with tons of minerality but with lovely breadth, depth and length on the palate. Smells like a great montrachet, but leaner and more mineral on the palate, but very long!

Very nice showing. Very fine line. Classic Puligny white stone fruit and flowers on the nose. Mineral long line on the palate. Delicious

A bottle gifted to a friend. Now a little OTT. Colour turning a little, but the wine is still fresh on the palate. Notes of burnt toffee and lemon, but with nice minerality on the palate. Overall very nice, but better 3 years ago.

Starting to drink really well. Wild Strawberries and cream on the nose and palate, density and breadth with very long finish. Delicious!

Wonderful nose, showing some evolution. Really could get lost in this all evening. Sous bois, brown sugar, spices and fruits. On the palate ,nice depth although a little more simple than the nose suggests, suggesting the village origins. Excellent wine and great QPR.

Still deep and dark, serious, although a little closed on the palate at present. Shrill as a result. Long. Stlil a little primary, herbs on the palate. Good, but will be much much better in 5 years.

Really very nice. It's started to evolve a little, more full bodied than previously. Still quite mineral and herbasicous but with morebody than I recall. Broad and long on the palate. Very impressive

The best wine I've had in a quite a while (at least for the last 2 years;)). Very beguiling on the nose, deep, rich (but balanced), spicy, sous bois, red and black fruits, constantly shifting and evolving. The palate follows through with a gorgeous texture and phenomenal length. Only downside was a little bit of heat from the vintage. Brilliant wine!

Still very young, with some oak notes sticking out. Rich (rather than tart) red berry fruits fruits and some earthy notes. Long and classy, needs time

Some fine french oak up front but after some time this mellowed out a little. Mouthfilling, great length and a fine balance between fruit and mineral elements. Really delicious although clearly far too young.

Soft and supple with dark fruits, earth and a little spice. Relatively light texture but good length. A very well made village level wine, but nothing more

I've had this a few times over the past number of years and it's finally starting to open out a little bit. I think this will age seamlessly for another 30 years but it's very impressive at the moment. Fine, without being showy. Complex, without being wild. Dense, yet lithe. Red & black fruits, but mostly a savoury mineral wine. A joy!

Paired very nicely with a beef bourguignin. Savoury wine with lovely depth and length. Black fruit but well balanced, it would be hard to guess 2009.

Still stinky with sulphur, which is cutting some of the energy in the wine. Underneath is a very beguiling spatlese. Leave for another 5 years and then enjoy!

Massive fruit and sugar, with just enough balancing acidity. Almost Eiswein style. Very interesting and complex, but a glass is enough.

Wine had traveled quite far over the past 2 days so was a little turbid. Still very young colour. Deep in the nose, with earth, mineral and black fruits. Grand cru mouthfeel but a little irony on the palate, possibly from the travel. Very impressive but needs to rest for another 10 years
