Such a great, easy to drink wine at a very reasonable cost. Good fruit, but plenty of acid and structure. I would agree with the CT drinking window of 2021-2026.

Better than the last time I opened one...but not anything special. Table wine for a Tuesday night, sure.

Decanted. Opened up well over about 45 mins. Probably would continue to open up, but it went too well with the steak. Classic Duhart. Many years left.

Excellent, particularly at the price. Wish I had bought more. Light lime and limestone (or some other minerality) to start. On the mid to back palate a richness comes through. Very enjoyable.

Showing its age, but still a very nice bottle. 1st one we opened was bad....can't pinpoint what, but it was just not good. This bottle was fine. As with my experience with other 1979 Bordeaux, this is delicate. Didn't decant, afraid to. Didnt need a decant, it developed nicely in the glass. Perhaps a 30 or 45 min slow-ox to let it blossom.

Very nice. Needs air. Nice rustc nebbiolo. Plenty of life left, I'll probably stay away for this of another 4 or 5 years.

Very nice, though a little astringent. Beautiful brick ingredients color. Good classic Barolo notes. Might have some life left, but maybe not much.

Not decanted, and likely shouldn't be. Drank over 1 hour plus. Opens up fairly fast. Not a powerful wine. Very easy to drink, hard to go slow and put the glass down.

Good, not great. Well balanced and nothing offensive, but it's a little "flat".

Well balanced, as always. The oak is a little forward right now and I think it could use a few more year to integrate better.

Just not pleasant. I gave it time and tried over the course of an hour-plus. It just didn't appeal to me.

Lackluster. Never had this vineyard prior to now, and I guess I expected more out of it. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly flavorful or interesting. There was no body to it and little structure. Disappointing.

This is drinking much more mature than past bottles I have had. I recall this was initially a bright wine with citrus qualities, it is now settling into deeper, richer flavor. VERY easy to drink and the bottle was empty way too soon.

Decanted for about 30 mins before drinking. Beautiful nose. Well balanced, as expected. Plenty of life left...don't know where the community end of life at 2021 is coming from. I'd venture 2025 or beyond. Hendry builds great, cellarable wines.

I'm not overly familiar with Condrieu and have only had a few. This one was very good. Great weight and mouth-feel.

Decant and time required. Was very funky and unpleasing initially. I left it alone for quite some time. After 45 mins to an hour it was sufficiently opened up and became a great glass of wine.

Boosted the points on this one for being an eleven year old wine for $12 and still drinking just fine. Was a nice casual bottler to have with a fresh bluefin tuna nicoise salad.

Definitely an improvement over the last bottle I had. It is coming into its own for sure. Lovely Bordeaux 'funk'. Decant helped it come around and revealed really nice fruit.

As usual, a great wine. Great traditional 'pinot' flavors without they typical CA influence. That said, I think this is a little young. There seems to be some development happening on this and I will hold my other bottle for a couple more years.

Drinking well. Carignan usually isn't for everyone, but this one might change that. Very approachable with nice dark fruit, good structure and nice acid.

Man I love this wine. Unfortunately I don't have enough of it! Great structure, great acids, great fruit. Paired very well with a Carolina pulled pork sandwich. Just the right fruit to cut the heat on the pork.

Not sure what to think of this. Color was funky, so golden it was almost a rose. Drank just fine, not premox. Disappointing for my expectations. Perhaps there were storage issue prior to my ownership.

Surprised about this. Opened it to use in making my nightly spritz. Tried it real quick on its own and man is it good. I was expecting to be turned off by the sweetness, but it is just the right balance, and 6 years of age doesn't hurt.

My first experience with d'Yquem. Wow, what an experience. I realize this is really young. but the palate is great and the fishing lingered over a minute. The acid is fantastic. I'm a fan...now I have to go work more so I can afford to drink this more often!

This bottle was missing the 'zing' that I am familiar with in this wine. I'm afraid that I've missed the best of it for my remaining bottles. Heavy raisin on the nose, but after 10 or 15 mins in the decanter, this went away.

Very enjoyable. Worked very well with a Santa Maria style tri-tip. Not sure this has much life left.

I think this wine is dormant right now. When you drink it, it feels tightened and restrained. Almost like it doesn't want to give itself up. I'm leaving this along for at least 5 more years, may more. Just recently had a '95 and it was amazing. I can see this one getting there.

Still holding up very well. Decanted for about 30 mins. Oddly, near the end of the bottle and probably an hour and a half or so later, the oak returned and sort of took over. It was almost resin-like. Don't really know what that means, except maybe drink faster.

Benefits from decanting. At 30 mins decanted, it is soft and feminine, still good tannins but not particularly soft tannins. Margaux style fruit...leather, tabac, dark berry...maybe currant.

Light and tasty. Great mouth feel for a light wine, just a touch of tannin. Nice Earthy-ness. It's like a Pinot Noor, but just enough different to not turn away those who dont care for PN.
