Although I did not take any tasting notes this Graves extended my love relation with the mid-prize gems from the Appellation. Balance, structure and elegance combined in an impressive performance of black fruit, pencil shavings, did I get a hint of vanilla?, leather. Supple tannin and bright lead to.a.good length finish. At that at 13.5% abv, take note Cali and Oz it can be done.

I haven't had this wine for over a decade; and I am not disappointed. A viscous (@14.5% abv) delicious black fruit and cherry driven chianti classico with medium acidity and medium(+) tannin, and medium(+) body. Suave mouthfeel, balanced and slightly concentrated, without being overpowering. Great length with delicious bitter-sweet balanced finish featuring elegant tannins. A winner. Only feature to fault is that abit a residual alcohol heat emerges which may be mitigated by decanting.
