Brought to drink at Oinoscent during service.
The wine shows clear red colour.
The wine shows medium intensity, the nose is fresh and clean, red cherry and currant, some earthy notes and a southern/warm feeling overall.
In the palate, the wine is very fresh (maybe a bit too much?), almost "green" red cherry, medium to high acidity, what feels like tannins from the oak rather than the grapes, medium finish. It is possible that we are drinking this way too young but couldn't help it.
If given blind, I would have said Pinot noir from California . You need food with it

The wine has bright and crystal clear yellow colour with no sign of its age.
The wine shows medium to high intensity in the nose, the Sauvignon Blanc is more prominent with its green peppery nose, it's very fresh and has some citrus and tropical fruit in the back.
In the palate the wine shows medium intensity, it's more linear, alcohol heat (14.9%), the acidity is medium, the fruit is on the herbal and citrus side. With time in the glass you get ripe melon and honey notes in the medium finish.
The wine shows no sign of age which is extraordinary. If given blind I would have said Bordeaux.

White wines from Crete tasting (Materia Prima Pagrati): The wine shows a much clearer color than the Assyrtiko 2012
The wine shows a much cleaner nose than the Assyrtiko 2012, a few nutty notes, floral notes, dried citrus, some pear and melon notes, ripe and dried mango with a few oxidative elements.
The palate is round because of all the fruit, the wine shows medium acidity, it shows more oxidative notes than the nose, nutty, pear, quince, almond, medium body and medium to long finish.
The flavors show more clarity here than the Assyrtiko 2012, its easier to identity them. The Assytiko shows more density and sweetness, the Siteia is far drier.
