Most enjoyable bottle of this wine so far, and the first to show well. The substantial core of fruit finally shows thru the massive and somewhat dry tannin, which is now after 25 years beginning to subside. A fair chance this will continue to improve.

Last bottle unfortunately. Rich, fleshy cherry fruitcake. Gained in weight with more air. Opulent, hedonistic wine.

Very closed for the first hour, then rich brown spice and quite fat on the palate from the oak. Holding together well and in a good place.

Very old school. Drinks like southern Italian red rather than Napa Zin. Savory, peppery, dense and tannic rather than fruity and oaky. Great with prosciutto and pasta!

Oak dominates. Still too young.

Definitely not mainstream. Biodynamic, almost orange wine. Exotic, tropical palate. Not what I expect from Corton, but enjoyable wine, impressive in its own way.

On its last legs unfortunately. Lovely wine, but fading fast. Other bottles oxidized. Drink up ASAP.

Needed 1hr+ to come round in the glass; quite intense and mineral wine with food balance. Seems to be a slow evolution for 2006 vintage. If this bottle is representative, then it should have some upside.

Loved this wine. Dark, smoky, chewy Syrah. Very old school, like Rockford Basket Press Shiraz.

Red fruit, mineral edge. Tannins beginning to melt. Should drink well for several years.

Perfect Burgundy. Sweet red current fruit, precision, minerality, almost weightless. Long finish. So elegant.

Don't often say this about a white wine; but I really should have cellared this wine longer. Last and best of my bottles of this vintage and a really fine honeyed wine. Seems like it will last for many years more.

Still quite closed. Tight red fruit and elegant minerality. I like the style but I think it's still too young.

Even after 15 years, needs an hour to open up. Elegant Vosne.

Outstanding bottle; I've had a lot of bottle variation from this case. Just goes to show, as they say;no great wines, only great bottles.

Very pretty floral nose and sweet fruit; tannins still quite prominent. May want a bit more time.

Declining fast I think. Don't agree with the drinking window. Based on the progress of my case of this wine so far, I strongly recommend drinking within next year or so.

Not good at all; little fruit and very astringent. Honestly I haven't had a bottle of this wine I liked, and I have a whole case unfortunately. I don't think it will come round either as it seems to be drying out with each successive bottle. Downgrade to cooking wine and hope it doesn't ruin the coq au vin. Pity, it got such good reviews when young.

This is the reason I drink burgundy. Full rich, voluptuous kirsch cherry flavors and nose. More mineral with some air, and some wood spice. Best bottle of the case.

I think this is finally ready. Quite fragrant and mineral; solid tannins covered by the fruit. I think it will always be a bit rustic; not the perfect vintage for NSG!

Last bottle. Happily, not oxidized. Last 6 were undrinkable. Honeyed, with an elegant lemony finish.

very unusual rose; angostura bitters, summer fruit, and quite weighty for rose. Not first choice for summer drinking, but quite interesting.

I'm sorry I drank most of my bottles years ago. This wine was closed and hard for the longest time, but it is finally losing most of the dry tannins, which allows the Engel perfume and elegant fruit to come out.

wow! Very new world Syrah, powerful, dark fruit, peppery. A little hot from the 15% alcohol. Impressive but quite different from my previous experience with Qupe.
