Another oxidized 2001 Ex Voto. Has the nose of a fortified wine, but no fruit at all. Dark gold color, metallic finish. Disappointed.

Could not drink this wine upon opening. Way too sweet. 3 days later, it was much improved. Wait years to open.

Totally agree that this is a wine to drink up. Probably slightly past its prime but still delicious.

1 hour decant. Still young but certainly drinkable. Beautiful plum and black fruit with meaty notes.

Pop and pour. In its prime right now. Peppery and loads of fruit - perfect with BBQ smoked chicken.

Very tight at first, but opened up to dark cherry and earth. Not very complex, but great value.

Light ruby and a little thinner than the last bottle opened 10 years ago. Still has some time left.

Very nice CA Pinot. Pretty red fruit that will be better in a few years.

Needs more time even after decanting. Tasty, but undeveloped.

Really lovely fruit right off the bat. Decanting helped.

Too young but soo good. Popped and poured when my wife said she was making lamb. Over 2 hours, the tannins mellowed a bit, and the dark fruit prevailed. 1 more bottle left, and that one one will wait a few years.

A little past its prime, but very good. Decanted for 1 hour and I think the fruit was gone by the end of the night.

4 hour decant. Lots of fruit, but faded. This is one I would drink sooner than later.

Really big at first. After 2 hours, opened up. Tons of dark fruit, not too much tannin. I buy these every year, and the '08s are top notch.

This is ready to drink now. We toasted the New Year and the wine barely made it to the steaks! Great nose and very long finish.
