2018 Turley Zinfandel Judge Bell Amador County

Bright young wine. Fruity (but not jammy) and acidic. “Fresher” than your typical Zinfandel. We had it with burgers and it helped cleanse the pallet but the cheeseburger overpowered the wine. On a whim we tried Trader Joe’s pumpkin spice JoeJoes and it was a perfect match. The sweet and creamy filling balanced the acid and the spice brought out the fruit in n the wine. This would probably be great with pumpkin pie.!

11/8/20, 5:11 AM - Your comment does not seem to be for a terrible wine. A 71 rating is for a terrible wine in my eyes. You also seem to like Turley. Was the 71 a mistake?
