Lots of dark fruit, cherries, blackberry, cedar, tobacco. Pnp and paired with a Dominoe’s pizza. Perfect combo for a quarantine in DC. This wine will her better with age and I’ll try to open the next in 5 years. The structure is there.

Great structure, mouthfeel, spice notes, soapstone, granite, cured meat, and pepper. Some nice herbal notes. Great QPR and wish I had bought more.

Maybe I should quit this list ... it was too much of everything for me on this night ... too boozy, too concentrated, too sweet, too fruity - this is what you drink when you are in the mood for a manhattan but too lazy to pull out the cocktail shaker. But I've generally loved Broken Stones in the past and the other CT reviews are raves, so it's probably just me.

Drinks well for a young Saxum, great mouthfeel as usually from this producer. Dark red fruits, strawberry and lingering oak throughout. It's very very good but not all that complex. I don't expect this to get much better, decanted for 2-3 hours and enjoyed over the next 4.
