Really very tasty, but having it side by side with a couple other wines in the same price range and same year (M. Etain and Schrader RBS), it really doesn't hold a candle to the others. I'd have to say not a good QPR compared to the 'wow' you get from the other two wines.

This is my 4th bottle of this wine and it too is undrinkable. Oxidized and pruney. This is 4 out of 4 bottles I purchased on futures and which were stored perfectly.

2/12/15, 4:12 PM - I don't remember. I have one bottle left and I assume it will be just as bad. Beaucastel is one of favorite CPDs, but the 98s are purchased are not drinkable.

2000 Château Figeac St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend
Strong green vegetal taste dominating. This is very unpleasant.

1/5/14, 12:00 PM - Dr Raw, let me rephrase my OPINION. "This a very unpleasant wine for my palate because it has a strong vegetal taste dominating." I'm glad that you have your own OPINION. I have 6 bottles remaining which you can purchase and I'll throw in 6 raw green peppers for free! :)
