PNP. Lemon zest and creamy texture. Mid palate tartness. Maybe too young.

There is a mid palate bitterness which distracts from the wine. Settles down with time, but does not resolve. Drinkable but poured the remainder down the drain.

Decanted an hour and was better second night so needs some time. After reading other reviews I was ready to toss it down the drain but was very pleasantly surprised. Dark cherry, leather. Well ablanced. weak spots in mid palate initially but after it opened, especially second day, these weak spots disappeared.

Splash 30 minte decant. Still too young for my taste. It hasn't come together enough. At least 5 years more.

Nothing special. bitterness in the back end that is not pleasant and does not go away. Red fruits holding up wel. Maybe the bitterness will resolve with time.

Sweet fruit bomb with no texture and no aftertaste. Dies quickly after fruit bomb passes.

Looking at the other notes i assume I had a questional bottle or Covid palette, but I taste a sharp bitterness in the mid palette which does not go away with time. The nose is spectacular and the upfront fruit is well defined but mid and late palette comes the bitterness. maybe this is too young and that will settle down. I won't try my last bottle for 10 years.

Day 2: The bitterness has resolved and the wine is spectacular. Sad I opened it too early. I will hold my last bottle for 10 years.

Took 60 minutes in dcanter to open. Initially it was out of balance, but smoothed out at 60 minutes. Likely will continue to evolve and will wait 5 years till opening next bottle.

Decanted 2 hours and drank over 2 hours. Post prime for me. Has lost fruit and not gained significant tertiary flavors. Still enjoyed it but was much better 5 years ago.

Took several hours to open and still the flavors were somewhat muted. Drank over 2 hours and it gradually improved. Not a great Pichon.

Day 1. One hour open bottle. Bitter tart cherry. Remained open 4 hours, remained bitter. Then corked and put in refrigerator. After 2 days under cork the wine opened and the biterness resolved. Dark cherry and elegant.

Not drinkable. This is not corked but is just bad. Decanted for 4 hours and still not drinkable. I have tasted this wine and other Parker highly rated Aussies and I have been very disappointed in all of them except Torbreck Runrig and D Arrenberg Dead Arm. I drank this wine in the Parker drinking window and never liked it then and certainly don't like it now. Poured it down the drain.

Improves after an hour. Dark cherry and subtle earth. Weak mid and late palate. Next day ( after cork and refrigerator) had slight oxidized taste. Nice but not outstanding. Maybe past it's prime. Burgundies are so difficult to figure out :(

It took a 3 hour decant to open up. Someone had recommended 24 hour slow ox and then 12 hour decat befor serving. I believe that is the proper way to serve this wine. It has gotten so much richer in just 3 hours.

Update. After a 6 hour decant, the wine has improved and next bottle I will slow ox for 24 hours and decant for 6 hours before drinking. 92 after 6 hour decant.

Day 1 PNP. Out of balance with weak mid palate. Day 2 after under cork in refrigerator. Opened up beautifully with excellent balance with sour dark cherry, earth and very elegant. Burgundy is so confusing. Some mature wines die with several hours of decanting and some require extended decanting even if they are in the maturity window. I may never master burgundy but I am certainly having fun trying!! :)

Dark fruit is nice, but strong sour taste which has not blown off even on second night. Maybe this needs more time to dissipate but for now this detracts from this wine.

Purchase price $16. Parker rating 92. I have tasted several bortles over the years and did not care for the wine. Now it has blossomed and it is rich and lush and balanced throughout. I have found for my taste, grenache and syrah taste much better at the end or even after critics drinking window.

PNP. This wine is just now coming alive. I was planning on selling this wine because I was not fond of the heavy blackberry Australian Shiraz flavor, but now the wine has matured and is fabulous. Dark cherry and blackberry. Fruit is very strong and tannins are well integrated. Gorgeous wine and actually quite surprised Parker was right about the wine but wrong about the drinking window. now is the time.

Very good for a $20 wine. Dark berry and well balanced. Seems like this could actually age and take on some tertiary flavors.
