Primarily Marsanne and Viognier. Straw yellow color, with a hint of oak and butter aromas. Slight tropical complexity to the wine, but not overpowering, with nice acidity. Drink over the next three years, and should be great this Summer. Good value.

Decanted. Sampled multiple times during the night. Stayed consistent over a few hours. I probably would not have decanted. Very nice wine, deep red, ripe black currants, nice finish. One of my favorites of the night.

Excellent, nice crispness with hints of lemon, pears and a bit of oak. Definitely a wine to look for. One of my favorites of the night. 85% Chardonnay, 15% Grechetto.

Drink up. Losing much of its complexity, but the oak component is still present -- without the bitterness.

Very rustic, and young, with notes of pine in the background. Aromas of deep red and black currants and bumbleberry are present. Opens very slowly -- much better after being open for a few hours.

Big wine, very deep black/red in color, with a some rustic flavors and quite a bit of sediment right now. Very impressed with this wine, which has just enough acidity to make it heavy food friendly. Would purchase much more at a lower price.

Young fruit aromas: cherry, red currant, blackberries and blueberries. Fairly smooth tannins right now, with a little oak present. Not overwhelming -- almost a feminine wine, which is different from other Caymus SS I have had. It will be interesting to see how it ages....my guess is that is should be very nice in a few years.

This wine just became more expressive as time went on. Much better 3 hours after opening. Still very expressive, and much better than the vast majority of 1997 Napa Cabs I have had recently. Deep red color, with expressive aromas of deep red cherries, black currant and a hint of mint. The oak was subtle and the finish was very smooth. I was initially disappointed with the wine upon opening, but it really evolved in the glass nicely. Actually should have a few more years left in it.

Decanted 2 hours prior. A bit sedate right now, with nice acidity. In hindsight, I probably would have just popped and poured.
