Decanted 30 minutes prior. Drinking GREAT right now. The tannins have softened beautifully making room for those big, juicy, dark cherry and plumb flavors with hints of vanilla and leather. I’d drink up - this one is at or close to peak.

Pretty fabulous. Smooth, satiny tannins nicely balance bold black cherry, blackberry, and vanilla notes with a nice touch of cassis, tobacco, and a hint of old leather to round it out.

Popped and poured. Enjoyed with beef stew, which was a great pairing. Half hour in, this wine began to soften and open up just beautifully. I recommend decanting for an hour.

Popped, aerated, and poured. Enjoyed with grilled steaks. Dark violet, rich, and inky in complexion with long, slow, sexy legs. BlackBerry, clove, a bit of black currant, espresso and a hint of tobacco on the nose. It’s beautiful earthy, old world forest floor scent cought my attention and briefly had me reminiscing about well wasted time, late at night, on the backwaters of the upper Mississippi River in my youth. Dark berry and cassis flavors are well balanced by softening tannins. Medium to full bodied, with a pleasantly viscous texture and a long, soft finish that leaves you just a little heart-broken that its over, once its over...

Decanted two hours. Drank with prime rib roast - fabulous combination. This cab is drinking really well right now. I decanted two hours but would expand that to three hours. Wish I had a few more bottles!

Exceptional. Popped, dechanted, and drank with a grilled bone-in fillet. Drinking great right now. Tannins have softened revealing rich, dark fruits with a very nice, soft texture. Only one of these left in the cellar - wish I had more!

Decanted 1.5 hours. Tannins fully resolved leaving a very gentle smooth, fairly soft cab still exhibiting full dark fruit flavors of lingonberry, black cherry, a touch of cassis and dusty, well worn leather. I was concerned we may have missed the window but this one is still good - but drink up now as I suspect we've past it's peak. Originally purchased this to enjoy on a special occasion with my daughter who was also born in 1994 - as it turns out, Christmas 2016 was just such an occasion!

Decanted 2 hours. Dark, inky purple, long legs. Rich combination of dark berries, cassis, leather, and will integrated fine tannins. Drinking well and structure to age a few more years.

I was concerned this one might be past prime, but my fears proved unfounded. Stored properly, popped and poured to accompany bone-in elk ribeye. Fabulous! A real cab lovers merlot - the tannins have softened revealing plump, juicy, rich plum with a hint of cassis and vanilla. She really opened up nicely and had sufficient backbone to stand up very well to the elk steak, which is stronger and a touch gamier than beef. I'd say this '07 is peaking right now - so drink up!

Inky and purple, deep and dark colored. Medium legs, but toned like a ballerina's. Scents of blackberry, raspberry, strawberry jam and cinnamon on the nose. Full and fruit forward presenting layer upon layer of ripe blackberry and strawberry flavors, balanced nicely with fine, smooth tannins. Full bodied and juicy, particularly for a Pinot. A nice, long, lingering finish leaves me yearning for more. If Marylin Monroe had been a Pinot, this may have been it.

Popped and poured. Garnet colored. Long, sinewy legs. Raspberry, strawberry and dust on the nose. Raspberry, blackberry, clove and lavender flavors well balanced by smooth tannins. Medium to full bodied which I find common among Santa Lucia Highlands Pinots. Smooth texture. Pleasant, long, seductive finish.

I was concerned this one might Bo dead by now, but I couldn't be more wrong. Decanted for an hour and then enjoyed with a grilled ribeye. Fabulous! Still very vivid black cherry, smokey oak, cassis, and slight hint of vanilla and leather. Nice long finish.

Decanted 1 hour before drinking. First pour was good but it got better after a couple more hours breathing. Still drinking very well, but I'd decant for at least three hours before drinking.

Dark, rich, ink colored. Still pretty tight tannin structure. Strong blackberry, some anise, smokey finish. Drinking well. Probably should have decanted.

The wine looks Light gold colored. The legs are Slow. It smells like Grapefruit, Apricot, Toast, and Vanilla. It tastes like Grapefruit, Apricot, Apple, Honeydew, and Light toast. The body is Medium. The wine has Satin-like texture. The wine finishes Long.

Popped and poured. Outstandinding Washington cab - sweet, lucious dark fruits (black cherry, raspberry, blackberry) well balanced with sweet tannins and vanilla and cassis. Delicious. Glad it was a magnum but wish I had more!
