tart fruit has evolved into a more rounded and integrated wine
My personal taste is for more tartness so this is a drink up in my world

in a nice spot with some secondary notes. More age on the nose than on the palate
lucky to have more to see how it will evolve

in a nice spot with some years of life left
integrating fruit with just enough tannin backbone for me so in my wheelhouse
there is some sweetness near the end like most new world wines
suspect some viogner in the mix though it does not say so on the label
best screw top cap I've ever tasted!

too young to have touched
but a beautiful burgundian expression with the fruit and earth starting to integrate
3-5 years sleep time suggested

cork soaked ~ half way through
a little too cool out of the cellar but with some breathing time and more towards room temp. it became much more expressive
it is always about the volcano for me with the backbone of campagna
but the fruit became expressive and revealing which started to show at about 30 minutes; not really deep dark fruit and not really strawberries but somewhere in between
a delight for all
remains quite youthful but with a nice decant and at the right temp worth a try if you have a bunch

early in it's drinking window
this could actually use a little more sleep and a longer decant
The fruit was delicious but I think too new world right now and there was no development over the evening
This is a trusted winemaker and one of the few organic growers in piedmont so I think there is more to be had from this wine with a little more cellar time

age on the nose but earthy elegance on the palate that had some secrets to reveal as the evening progressed
plenty of life left but worth opening a bottle if you still have a few

really early in it's drinking life
tart tannic and bitter at the end but so much potential
started revealing it's secrets at about 45 min.
so drink with a long decant or better yet sleep for a few more years

more rounded fruit with less earthy tones which are definitely more in the background
a little bit of sleep time for better integration recommended

WOTN for me
a surprise given our old world sensibilities
but this was a well integrated beauty in a really good spot
went great with salmon on the grill
a sweetness in the wine balanced out the taku rub on the salmon
it will be difficult to get any better than it is now

after trying a 1964 Pio barolo this afternoon had to open this up for the evening guests
this was opened up 4 hours before drinking
it remained unyielding until 12 hours when some fruit emerged
nice to try and so much potential but way too early to touch these

decanted 4-5 hrs
this stepped up to the plate after the decant
long luxurious length and finish
Unique cranberries and fruit profile that I have only tasted with this producer
may not be the wine that unico is but who cares?
