4/22/24, 1:06 PM - Sounds great. One thing you might want to edit: you have this marked as a "flawed" bottle. Cheers!
4/5/24, 2:07 PM - Undrinkable? Can you expand on what was so off-putting about it? This is a wine I regularly really enjoy.
4/1/24, 10:00 AM - Not bad to have a good wine still be "least" favorite. What were the other Champoux wines?
3/19/24, 3:37 PM - Nice! I never see TNs on this. If you wouldn't mind, what bourbon drinks do you like to make with this? I love bourbon and have a bottle of this cassis, so I'm curious! TIA
3/15/24, 10:00 AM - Sounds delish! I only have one bottle of this left. Drink soon?
2/15/24, 5:07 PM - I think you're right with the 2030.
2/12/24, 10:50 AM - $28?!? Daaaaamn, great price.
2/7/24, 9:00 AM - What a cool story and I'm now going to go pair some (probably not English...not sure I could easily find them stateside) walnuts with a good port. Now, how was the wine? Cheers.
2/6/24, 3:23 PM - Yikes! That's not good. I sure hope that bottle was bad and the rest of yours are killer. This should be very alive still, if not still on the ascent.
1/30/24, 11:45 AM - JBRO - you rated it an 85 then and now a 93, but your description sure doesn't sound like it was very good. Or am I misreading? TIA
1/26/24, 9:40 AM - Sounds like an awesome experience! Cheers!
12/18/23, 2:34 PM - Why the quotation marks, BEECK10?
11/6/23, 11:24 AM - Oh man, the combination of this wine and a chocolate souffle has my mouth watering!
10/16/23, 11:38 AM - Awesome. What were the other wines poured?
9/28/23, 2:43 PM - Sounds delicious, skifree!
9/28/23, 9:53 AM - Very interesting and thorough note, JNEWMAN77, thank you. Do you typically drink mostly red Burgs? I'm trying to get a better sense of what you mostly drink. Thanks!
9/13/23, 10:18 AM - Interesting. I'll have to pull one and assess. I hope I don't agree with you! :)
9/11/23, 10:28 AM - That's great to hear. Curious as to why you expected an, "....extracted, syrupy Syrah..." Syrah does really well in WA State and, while there are some that are as you describe, I've found them to be the minority if you're not talking grocery store wines. Cheers.
9/11/23, 10:27 AM - Ouch, that one hurts. Sorry that happened.
8/22/23, 8:44 PM - Darn. Haven’t picked mine up yet, but that’s too bad. Glad we didn’t break the bank I guess.
8/14/23, 9:33 AM - What/who is the rumored producer?
8/11/23, 11:37 AM - Nice, DSIMMONS! Congratulations on opening and enjoying your perfect bottle! That's what we all do this for, right?
6/14/23, 9:56 AM - How was the wine?
6/13/23, 9:55 AM - Thanks, Ron. Coincidentally, I pulled this from my offsite to drink soon.
6/8/23, 2:40 PM - The previous reviewer appears to be a tough grader based on his/here TNs and scores. Seems to have an Old World palate, so not surprised at the rating given.
3/22/23, 9:26 AM - Great check-in and your TN has me salivating.
3/13/23, 5:25 PM - Congratulations, PEANUTBUTTERSKITTLES!
3/7/23, 4:23 PM - Oops. Yes, BRIAN!
2/17/23, 10:05 AM - Bummer, Dude! These are so good when they're not spoiled, as you know.
1/2/23, 10:25 AM - TwoAmps, I posted this on your TN for the 13 Monte Bello: you have the identical tasting note posted for this wine and the 2014. Please clarify which wine your TN applies to and delete the other. Thanks!
1/2/23, 10:24 AM - Same question: exact same note posted for two different wines. I'd love to know which one your note is about. Thanks!
12/22/22, 9:52 AM - Thanks for the TN. While I agree with you on this particular wine, I wholeheartedly disagree with your assessment of the vineyard. Champoux produced lovely wines in the right hands! Check out (you may have already) Soos Creek and Fidelitas wines from Champoux Vyd.
12/28/22, 1:15 PM - Got it. Thanks!
12/20/22, 12:51 PM - Thanks for your thoughts, PA Cross, cheers! It's not that I fault AG for his TN or his 100 points score, I don't. It's just definitely not MY 100 point wine at all. He obviously love it and I didn't. Oh well! :)
11/29/22, 9:38 AM - Couldn't agree more with you on this. What a steal.
11/10/22, 8:10 PM - What did you think of the wine?
11/10/22, 9:43 AM - I take it Fred and Rita liked each other, then?
11/3/22, 11:37 AM - Thanks, but was it good or bad, did you like it or not?
10/24/22, 10:03 AM - Good to know...I'll drink up soon. Can you please expand on what wine, "2009 ACV CS" is? Thanks in advance.
10/14/22, 9:05 AM - Darn, that's a pretty crummy score for what I was hoping would be a great wine. Thanks for your impressions.
10/5/22, 9:10 AM - For context, have you had past vintages of this wine you've liked? Thanks in advance.
9/26/22, 11:57 AM - Might be an error...you reference, "Cali Cabs" for this Zinfandel. Just clarifying. Thanks.
9/12/22, 9:42 AM - Very timely note, as I was going to pull this from the offsite. I'll hold off for now! Cheers!
9/13/22, 10:54 AM - Yes, I agree. As they've dialed in these vineyards, I'm yet to have one of the single vineyard blends from them that I'd call fully mature, come to think of it!
9/7/22, 7:51 AM - You sure this isn't flawed? Sorry to hear about the bad experience with this particular bottle.
3/17/22, 8:35 AM - I've noticed a good deal of bottle variation with this particular wine as well. I haven't had any that were undrinkable yet, but definitely some that were better than others.
3/4/22, 8:23 AM - I love it when guests prefer the wine that I don't!
2/28/22, 8:01 AM - Fantastic TN, Motz! Sounds great...glad I have some!
1/12/22, 8:02 AM - Great note, and thanks for the timely check-in.
12/1/21, 9:39 AM - I love the pizza idea! I'm definitely going that route next!
11/8/21, 8:32 AM - Mike, curious as to your point system. 50 for an, "Excellent" wine seems low, but perhaps you're using a different system?
11/8/21, 8:31 AM - Great TN, Ron. Coincidentally, I recently brought my last bottle of this home from the offsite. Sounds like it's in a great spot. Cheers!
