Light garnet color.
Scent of dark cherries, tobacco and violets. Parfumed.
Full, very nice tannins. Taste of dark berries, almond and tobacco. Long and very clear aftertaste of violets with a grassy note - like fine olive oil.
A very pleaseant wine that is good for drinking now but will certainly last a couple of years.

Dark red.
Slightly closed, scent of cherries, almond and violets.
Very tannic, full taste of cherries, almonds and a bit of tar. Flowery like from freshly cut grass or fine olive oil.
Long finish.
Enjoyable but should have kept this one a couple of years I think.

Light yellow - very clear.
Freshly scented and parfumed with raisins, botrytis and saffron.
Packed with fruit like mature mangoes, pineapple, raisins and apricots. Full.
Long finish that ends in a slight bitterness like from a touch of bitter almonds. After just a short while in the glass the finish developed into finest marsipan and the first hints of oak in the form of coconut.
Very well balanced and probably long lived. 92 - 94P.

Pale yellow.
Fresh scent of almond and pineapple.
Full, taste of pineapple caramel, canned fruit, ether and almonds.
Rather acidic and not so sweet.
The finnish is not so long, the wine is definitely closed at the moment.
I gave it 90 - 92 P.

Golden yellow.
Banana toffee, preserved fruit and saffron on the nose.
Very full and rich texture. Taste of tropical bananas, mangoes, pineapple and burnt sugar. Sweet.
Long aftertaste with a hint of spiciness.
Definitely for keeping.
I rated it 92 - 94.

2005 Château de Fargues Sauternes Sémillon-Sauvignon Blanc Blend (view label images)

Pale, yellow color.
Coconut and white peach on the nose.
Full bodied with a clear taste of coconut and pineapple caramel followed by canned peach or mandarin plus vanilla. Slightly low on acidity.
The wine seems closed at the moment and after 24 hours in the open bottle it developed a taste of poached williamine pears and some spicy nuances.

Light, pale yellow and not at all glistening as sweet wines often are.
The first scent of the wine is from coconut and oak, directly followed by butter fudge, vanilla and cloves.
In the mouth the wine is an explosion of impressions: pomegranate, coconut, kolarem (Swedish candy), dried orange peel and gingerbread.
A perfectly balanced wine with a great future. Incredibly good today but save it 5 - 25 years and it will come to perfection.

Black red, medium dark.
Roasted scents of coffee and toast. Black currant and plum. That faint but definite scent of flower shop so typical for good Margaux. Elegant.
Mature, with tones of coffee, cocoa and toffee. Medium length. A hint of graphite. Opened up after some time in the glass with a distinct taste of plum - strangely because the blend hardly has any merlot in it.
Very fine, silky tannins.
Medium bodied, lacking some fruit and a bit dilute. A very well made wine but in a weak vintage.

Light ruby red, brick color on the edge.

Cherries, virginia tobacco and leather on the nose. Spicy.

Powerful taste of dark cherries, tobacco, vanilla and old rhum.

Very long. Rather tannic but well balanced.

Mature but can be saved for many years.

Fresh and fruity with grapefruit and honey on the nose.
Tight with pomelo, honey, fresh almond and a little flintstone on the palate. Long.
Still need a couple of years.

Light red color.
Leather, violets, cherries, tobacco, newspaper ink, roasted warm oak, vanilla, a hint of tar and nettles on the nose. Flowery. Complex.
Very tannic, full and long taste. Powerful. Dried fruit, wood, tar, violets and dried flowers. Classic.
Lacked a bit of fruit to get a higher score. Not unbalanced though - probably a result of the vintage.

Had three bottles of this wine, two of which where flawed. Notes from the third one:
Light red color.
Red berries, plum, leather and tar on the nose. Mature.
Full taste of almonds, blue plums, cloves, red cherries and black olives. Alcoholic. Raisins and used wood on the finish. Tannic. Over the top. Medium short finish.
A strange and badly integrated wine not even remotely reminiscent of the varietes it's supposed to contain (grenache, mataro and Shiraz). Or maybe I just happened to come into a bad lot...
