APPEARANCE: Dark Garnet, Red, v. light sediment, crystal layer on Cork = 3/4
BOUQUET: Beef Bouillon, Onion Soup mix, Smoke, mild berry fruit lost underneath, leather = 7/14
TASTE: Sharp, astringent, rich mouth feel, mild berry fruit, mild finish = 8/18
PREFERENCE: Bouillon and Onion soup overwhelm, do not like; Could this be a damaged bottle? = 0/4

    2/10/13, 1:34 PM - Sidebar note; half the bottle was remaining when I entered this note; I just tasted the remainder and it was much better. It sat out corked for several weeks before I tried it just now (2/10/13) and the flavors and aromas were more typical; plum, prune, grape, mild wood; the smoke, onion, and bouillon have dissipated.
