Lots of leafy pomegranate, blackberry. Admiral poise (eveness of acid along the palate). Mature and gentle tannins. Perfect for drinking now.
Red - Sparkling

Heavenly rosy and slightly bituminous aromas, super clean on the palate, and thrilling to think its actually making one far more tipsy than simple mathematics would suggest. I can't wait until my next bottle.

Two bottles recently bought and drank, the first being so uptight we decanted this second one and got out the biggest glasses in the house. It needs really close scrutiny to reveal that there is some plum and tomato-leaf typicity, underneath all that wooden twiggy oak. On the hot side of balanced, it is genuinely tough, but after (truly) hours and hours and hours of coaxing out it finally showed some life and femininity, with malty roasted interesting bits, some gently ripe fruit, and refreshing acid throughout. A lesson in when to decant and when to show restraint. I'm the last person to claim to be 'mislead' or 'misinformed' by a wine, but I really do wish the French could/would just give us a few candid words on the back label. That truly would be etiquette.

Medium density black-red, lovely rosemary, euclyptus and liquorice aromas - quite heavy and powerful on the whole. Cocoanut character, but quality stuff and within balance. Palate was genuinely green, but upright acid, adequate length and of a certain alcoholic kick. Tannins were there, flavoursome, and well distributed over the mouth, cannot say they will still be structuring this wine in another 3 years however. Really quite fair. A pleasant old-school bordelaise suprise.
