Over the top now. Still enjoyable, but freshness is declining rapidly. Drink.

Third of four bottles bought. The last one I opened was flawed, but this one not at all. Bright yellow on colour, and so much bread on the nose that you would expect crumbles. Still very sparkly, high on acidity, but with a strong backbone, almost woodlike, mushrooms, mature fruit and a hint of truffles.
This wine has reached full adulthood, and I will drink the last bottle while Trump is still president.

Last bottle of the experiment, another 2 years on. This wine seems to have been more or less in hibernation since 2017. Fumes of gasoline more dominant now (especially on day 2), but there is still a lot of melon, honey and freshwater lilies. Surprised to see such a cheap wine keeping up appearances in such a degree. I wish I had a couple of more bottles, as this wine will continue to develop at least a few more years, and showing no signs of getting too old.

This wine has had an extraordinary development since I last opened a bottle 2 years ago. As part of an experiment, buying a cheap bottle from a good but demanding vintage, and opening one each year or so, I believed that this wine was dying now, but quite the opposite has happened. The bouquet has become a very integrated mix of melon and water lilies. Still some resemblance to a gewurztraminer, but a lot more subtle. It's sparkling on the tongue, and very well balanced. A pleasant surprise. Will wait 2 more years with the last bottle, to see where this leads.

Lovely. Deeply red in colour, and a rich taste of blueberries. Would not call it elegant, but sober to be an australian. Fine balance.

Rich, almost oily substance. Cherry-coloured, with lot´s of oak. The fruit´s maturing, but not sure it´s improving. Demands heavy-grilled red meat or a very late party.

An aroma of ripe honey-melon and waterlillies, not unlike a young gewürztraminer. It has still got a bit of sparkle to it. Has not improved, rather the opposite.

I bought four of this back in `06, and the first two were a disappointment, lacking i fruit, watery and feeling dead. That has come to an end. There is a deep sense of mature, yellow fruit in it, combined with hints of glue, bright wood and grass. It's balanced and with a lasting aftertaste.
This 30-$ wine is in it's prime.

Light golden colour.
This wine is slowly developing. It has a fruity maturity, with hints of honey and melon. There is a pleasant dry sweetness to it, and some sparkliness. Is's simpletasting, balanced and with just the right amount of acidity.

Balanced, lovely colour of golden yellow, mature and subtle. Not sure if it will be getting any better, but should be able to keep its head up for a few more years.

The colour is beautiful, dark cherry, without any hints of brick. The bouquet throws you back into the cellar. There is cedartree, shoeleather, dust and old books with a hint of blueberries.
The taste is a fine balance between mature red fruits, rounded tannins, and, in lack of a better description, a sort of meatiness.

I have a feeling I was too generous the first time I opened a bottle. That said, now, a year on, this wine has developed further. Still sparkling and fresh, there is now a thick layer of sweet fruits, like pineapple, banana and melon.

This wine is coming together more and more. Is now pretty balanced, sharp and uncompromising. Lack of fruit.

Still young, with lovely acidic fruit and a hint of cedar.
On it's way up for a couple of more years. Rich body, with the dewnplayed confidence of a maturing wine.

This is why one should wait a few years before drinking one's chablis's. The fruit has developed from green and citric into av exotic blend of pinapple and honeydew melon.
In-mouth it's got a pretty full body, bringing the exotic aroma into it's taste as well. A little bit of balance and a sense of bitterness to it, that I would love to see gone.
Drink now or hold for a year or two.

Fell in love with this wine in a lovely small italian place in Bright, Aus. Not the same emotions present on a cold Norwegian winternight, but still worth it's 30$.
Pretty simple, easytolike and still very fruitful. Balanced and leaves a nice aftertaste, but not much complexity. Won't get any better, but can still spend a year or two on the bottle.

Finally. After having been troubled by it's intense tannins since I've opened my first bottle in 2008, now is the time where it's developed into a wider, fuller and more balanced wine.
Still there is a lack of acidity, and it still seems a bit jammy and overloaded, but the aromas are delightfully in rythm with the juice. This is the time to drink, combined with grilled red meat.

God, voksen champagne.

At first red as brick, quickly growing darker 'til almost brown/blackish.

palate: Iron, minerals and dry, old fruit. Had some sickly aromas to it, that both made me and my tasting mate a little sick. But was our wine bad og is it Cornelissens weird taste and method that is not corresponding with my idea of a wine priced over 130$ (Vinmonopolet, Norway 2005)? Was it too old? Or was I just unlucky and hit the wrong date on the biodynamic calendar?
I did not like this wine, but will save my last bottle for another year to see if there is more to be gained.
The wine looks Brick colored.
The legs are Medium.
It smells like Baker's Yeast, Mineral, and Prune.
The body is Light/Medium.
The wine finishes Medium.
