Took 45 mins to open, and kept getting better. After the funk blew off there was plenty of fruit, and it was quite spicy.

Good. needed about a half hour to open up and soften the tannins. had a distinct leather nose, and not a very complex/long-lasting finish.

First experience with this wine. Not bad, no real funk but some earth/dirt on the nose. A lot of fruit on the nose, but not bad at all.

This was suprisingly tight when opened. Great nose with blackberry and some vanilla. The color was bright, no sign of fading; very tannic to start. It took about 45 minutes in the decanter to mellow out. worth the wait for sure. The finish improved - although still not spectacular - and the old french beauty started to shine through.

I think this vintage is in line with the 86, 97 and 01. It's just that good. Fantastic complexity, great balance and superb finish. It's just awesome.

a great find. Super-dark color and fruit. Deep floral nose with the complexity to match. The tannins say this wine isn't ready to drink for years to come. Excellent start though!

Great low-tide on the nose. This bottle wasn't as good as previous thought; still great fruit but not as complex as the 83. Unmistakable Pichon Lalande. I'll be searching for more.

Very good, old, french. Needed about 45 minutes to open. This bottle wasn't as intense as previous attemps, but still had that great wet grass and dirt nose. excellent mid palatte with dark fruit and leather. the finish was the disappointing element with this bottle.

decanted about a half hour. very fruit forward, i didn't get the bordeaux sense that others mentioned. it's ready to drink, and a good wine for the price.

For some reason, this bottle was a little flat. I would normally be at a 90 for the 2000, but perhaps just an off-bottle. Still had the classic Estate nose, but lacked the usual mid and finish. Still a great wine.

impressive for sure. the dark color matched the honey in the background; while the wine still had plenty of apple and mineral up front; Nice finish but not a heavy one. perfect for a hot day.

Excellent. Decant for about a half hour, although the low tide aroma didn't blow off until an hour or so. This is great wine, classic Dunn complexity.

Pop and pour, although it did improve as time went on. Heavy pepper and oak on the nose, plum taste and a decent finish. Good stuff.

Very good Bordeaux, classic Pauillac with cedar, berries on the nose. This took quite some time to open up and was worth the wait (probably close to 90 minutes). There was no signs of age, wine was very bright and absolutely no setiment.

Excellent, old nose with dust, leather and pepper/spice. It didn't need long at all to open. The finish wan't very long, but it was still there. The color was okay, orange rim. I would say this doesn't have much time left, but it is still quite good.

Classic Dunn; loud dark fruit and a little musty on the nose. Just kept getting better as it opened I'm the decanter. I would say this wine is still quite young, but oh so good. What a great finish.
