The last bottle of this opened was 5 years ago and this is still a favorite in my cellar. The wine is at its best and I suspect it could have still been cellared for more years. Delicious big fruit with a well balanced long delicious finish.

decanted for 2 hours and served with friends along with a 2006 Price Cab Franc. Delicious fruit and soft tannins but the Cab Franc was so good this didn't win for the night. Still have another bottle left and might give it a few more years before opening this vintage.

Love the style that these wines are. Not overly sweet but delicious fruit with a long finish. Paired with red pasta sauce or pizza is a perfect meal.

Cork was in good condition. Upon opening a bit pruney but mellowed out quickly and was very pleasant. Soft tannis and no browning on the edges when viewing the glass which was a suprise.

Felt this did not have the weight of some of my other Montebello's in the cellar. Nice nose , delicious with good acidity and soft finish. Might have been better a few years ago however.

The wine has held up beautifully. Excellent balance with delicious fruit, long soft velvety finish and no negatives. Very happy it has held up since I still have two bottles in my cellar.

Took 30 minutes to open but definitely time for me to drink through these. Very nice finish with flavors of dark fruit and chocolate. Probably not at it prime any longer.

Don't agree with the other tasters. I took this out of my cellar tonight as it had a low cellar tracker score. I thought the wine had a nice bright cherry nose,, dark fruit on the mouth and black pepper very nice long finish with dark fruit again lingering on the mouth. The wine has also the characteristics I expect of a Napa red. Probably at it's prime now I wouldn't cellar it much longer

Nice fruit and finish is disjointed but suspect it needs some more time. I also just opened a bottle of the 2013 and was amazed at the complexity and dusty limestone finish I like so hunted and found the 2017 for $18/bottle which is a fantastic value at that price point.

Earthy dark fruit nose. Wonderful balance on the mouth between the dark rich fruit and smooth tannins for a delicious balance. Finish goes on and on. Delicious.
