Drinking well. Great fruit, not a lot of depth but an enjoyable second bottle. Drink up.

Fabulous as usual. Started drinking after a 3 hour decant. Dark plum fruit, wild aromatics and hints of chocolate. They make these bottles too damn small!

Old school wine that is drinking well on this night. Not a blockbuster, this wine hits all the notes found in an old Bordeaux.

A nice, not wonderful Cab/Syrah blend. It seemed better early on so I would not decant long next time. Tasty though.

This is drinking quite well. Olive, brine, earth and dark berry presented seamlessly with a nice, but not long, finish. The ‘10’s are drinking well right now.

An absolutely stunning wine that is ready to drink now. The last few years have softened the edges to create a wine with both finesse and sophistication. A remarkable initial whiff of tobacco started the show. Hell yes!

This is just starting to hit its stride and is wonderful. Nicely concentrated, dark fruit, tobacco notes but you can tell that this is still evolving and will pick up more subtle notes and sophistication with more time. Leather, black cherries, dust...what good news lies ahead?

This was singing on this night at the 3 hour mark. Polished earth, granite and perfumed fruit. Holy cow I am glad I have more. I need to be disciplined and let it lay longer in the cellar as I suspect it will get even better in the next few years.

Drank with a 12 hour decant just because. Great fruit but it seemed to lose some of the nuanced aroma and sophistication I love. I will stick with a 2 hour decant in the future.

This just wasn’t doing it on this night. Tannic, fruit was muted, aromatics not so hot. The cork was perfect too and gave it a 60 minute decant. Bottle variation?

This just didn’t do much for me. The finish was truncated, the mid-body lacked sophistication. The nose had hints of deliciousness but they didn’t linger. Too young? Will it emerge at a later date? Only time will tell. For the price, this is a disappointment.

This opened with a nice nose of tobacco and cedar but this faded over the next few hours. Medium bodied and sweet fruit but missing sophistication. Drank after a 90 minute decant and it seemed to lose a bit as the night went on. Drink up and I would do a short decant at most with my last bottle.

This is still a baby and just starting to pick up secondary notes. Fabulous sweet jammy fruit typical of a warmer year. Notes of pencil lead and green pepper on the nose. Smooth, polished finish. I think this will improve over the next 3-5 years.

Terrfic nose with dusty cedar box, black olive and earth notes. Is there a hint of motor oil in there? The tannins are smoothed out now providing just enough backbone to balance out the medium bodied fruit. Definitely exhibits the vintage. I will drink my last bottle in near future.

Stunning wine! Powerful aromatics that range from tobacco to both white and black pepper but also interlaced with ethereal notes. An expansive palate with sweet, but enigmatic fruit that is difficult to characterize. The core is an intriguing blend of subtle dark berry, slight earthy notes and black olives, and these notes are interwoven with both a certain density and lightness. Yummy!
