Solid wine at $15. It starts out as a run of the mill Wash state Cab, with a little bit of air it develops and opens up. Good sub $20 wine

Opened 2 hours ahead, no decant. Very good not great, little signs of age but the wine is not as big and expressive as before. One bottle left and I will probably drink in the next two years before its youthfulness begins to fade. Next time I will decant thoughh.

Pleasant, a tad sweet but remains a solid Wash State cab.

High expectations on this one but it did not deliver. It had a slight metallic taste that persisted, not bad but not north of 88 points. Perhaps an off bottle, no rating.

Poured through venturi, improved with about 30 minutes of time, had it with a kobe beef burger. On the nose, a bit high on alcohol, the alcohol persists in the mouth with a strong oak sting, medium body, short finish, sweet ending and one dimensional. It could improve with some cellar time, but not a wine I would want to hold.

Ready for prime time, mature and very composed, some sediment towards the end. At this price point this is a great modern Bordeaux with a hint of classic. Not overly sophisticated but a St. Emilion profile prevails. Very enjoyable.

Solid effort, it could use another two or three in the cellar. Much more serious and refined Cali Syrah than I expected. No other notes

Very good now after 30-45 min air time, but would benefit of 1-2 years more time in the bottle. Will buy a couple more bottles to see how it evolves.

Brought to Gentleman Farmer NYC, as soon as I arrived I asked to be opened, let the wine catch some air for about 15 mins. A good balance between a rich almost voluptuous Napa Cab and the right amount of firmness and restrain to hold the wine together. Overall a very pleasant drink when you want a quality truly enjoyable full body red without over analyzing what you are drinking. Improved with air, give it 30 mins to come together.

I have had this wine several times but this bottle was not hitting the right notes initially, it felt hot, jammy, and flabby, the kind of profile that wears you palate quickly because the wine is so overdone. I decided to bring the temperature down of the wine to the high 50s. The cooler temperature tamed the wine and was much more enjoyable. Interestingly, the wine also improved the next day. My suggestion give it time to breathe and drink below room temperature.

2nd bottle, highly acidic, undrinkable. could barely finish one glass. I read the 2013s needed enrichment to increase the alcohol level, perhaps this wine didn't get any. The rest will be used for cooking and I hope it does not ruin my dish. One bottle left, I'm not looking forward to opening it, perhaps that one will go straight into the sink.

Good not great. Recalling the 2004 vintage, I was looking forward to this wine and perhaps expectations were a little high on my end, PnP and the wine was lively, it felt young, fruity, pleasantly surprised. Over time, the wine preceded to go slightly downhill, never really, it was good, nice earthy tones, integrated, and refined. Pleasant drink, not very memorable. Around 91 rating.

Pleasant, but came across as just slightly above average California cab, potential to improve perhaps, it was my only bottle and I'm not rushing to get more.

With about 30 mins of air, this wine came together nicely. A little understated but classy and balanced; if you like big wines, this is not it, but true to the Cab varietal. It could improve with 1-2 years of cellaring, very enjoyable right now.

In a great place, opened the bottle 30 mins ahead of drinking. Loved the structure and focus of this wine, a nice blend of old and new world wine. The fruit has gentle sweet and crisp upfront then it smooths out at the end. Great with food or alone. Ciel du Cheval grapes never seem to disappoint.

Soft velvety similar to other Altamura's it is a great drink without overexciting the palate. Perhaps a little too plushy for me.

PnP. Solid effort for this type of cab, except it has a slight jammy feel (which I can pick up quickly) that can tire the palate after a while. Something you have to be in the mood for.

Drinking perfectly for a juicy and bold Pinot. It has a lot more structure and elegance than say a Bell Glos Las Alturas, but this is a big boy Pinot no doubt

A bit of a let down from Last Bottle. Light and tart initially, with some time on the glass, the wine opened up but it remained very ho hum. I hope this was result of bottle variation as I have two more bottles.

Solid effort, this wine remains young, like with previous Leviathans, I have found that they improve with a few years of age. Not a wine for the long haul but I'd give this wine 1-2 years to really come together.

Solid effort, however, next to a '09 Fleur Cardinale this came across as a lightweight St. Emilion and not as rich and flavorful. Great drinking wine, needs about 30-40 mins to open up.

Well made wine, just a little too sweet and flabby for my taste buds. Next to other Merlots this appeared as a fun, lively wine to drink and yet a bit predictable higher end merlot. Rightly so, some folks really enjoyed this wine and ranked as their favorite. Very enjoyable nonetheless.

A solid performer of a merlot, my friends were pleasantly surprised how well this merlot held up against a lined up of Cali and French merlots. Medium body, composed, a tad sweet but not remained balanced. Monte Xanic is my go to winery when I am in Mexico.

An absolute delight of a merlot if you like big bold cali cabs. Tasted as part of a Merlot tasting, this wine stood out stylistically yet next to some St. Emilions, it does not have the structure and elegance of its right bank distant cousins. However, with its deep chocolate and dark fruit flavors, it was a great wine to cap the evening. Extremely enjoyable and best when you drink on its own.

Better bottle than bottle opened back in december. Easy pleasant drink, though nothing distinctive, but characteristically RRV, a well made pinot for the masses. I cannot imagine paying more than the Last Bottle price.

Big but very well done, the cab in this blended syrah gives it a little more structure and earthiness. Overall a real pleasure to drink. This was an amazing wine for $35, too bad the recent vintages have gone up to the mid-$50s.
