Dark fruit on nose and palate with moderate acidity and moderate tannins. Needs more aging in the hope of adding more complexity

It is soft with cherry and leather notes on the nose. It has strong acidity and soft tannins with graphite and soft fruit on the palate.

very unique flavor structure --with a unique complexity of green stem, pepper, plums, cherries, and a musty, mushroom nose

One word--balance. Soft red fruit on the nose. Succulent on the tongue with a beautiful sequential presentation of blueberry and cherry, roses blooming mid -palate, and finishing with mouth watering dusty acidity. No tannic pucker in 2014 ( and no decanting--straight out of the bottle!)

Plums swirled with smoke and tobacco on the nose...cigar like..
A succulent rasberry/blackeberry start with a long smooth waist and a slightly tannic end

A combination of deep dark fruit--figs and chocolate with a touch of cumin and dust on the nose.
It is luxuriously velvety on the palate with stirrings of dust initially that luxuriously blossom into notes of vanilla, caramel and sugarcane surfing on a balanced undercurrent of dark fruit. The slightest hint of tannicity appears at the end that holds the entire elegant complex together for an elegantly satisfying ending. Every sip of this wine needs to be savored. It breaks the time space continuum....

The nose seesaws between big red fruit and rich dirt--as another reviewer mentioned--very entertaining. On the palate thick and smooth with a perfect balance of rasberry and a touch of peppery acidity and just a minimal tannic kick at the end. This is a wonderful wine, especially for the price...

Fresh floral notes combined with sweet fruit--peach, melon on the nose.
On the palate-- initially sitting heavy in a luxurious suspension of time --with continuation of peach and the addition of mango and clementines on a base of almond oil, which in a relaxed manner segues into a crisp citrus finish

Beautiful nose with blackberries with swirls of smoke and a touch of oak. Moderate dark purple legs. Starts smooth with strawberry rhubarb that quickly gives way to eucalyptus and green mango with a nicely balanced finished with a slight dominance of tannicity over acidity..

Dark fruit, mushrooms, and pronounced oak on the nose. Smooth on the palate, with initial dark fruit that somehow harmoniously segues into a distinctly graphite mid palate note, that fades softly into the end.

Rich dark fruit with leather on the nose. Smooth silky start with much dark fruit and with a somewhat tannic finish that smoothed out nicely after 4 hours of decanting. Probably could use a few more years in the cellar.

I love Kunde. This is the first bottle that has disappointed. I agree with the previous reviewer, "zobox." This wine is past its prime. The distinctive Kunde nose is not present. The finish is short. The note is singular red fruit with a touch of oak--but minimal complexity.

Burgundian nose with a mix of earth, leather, and berries that seems to promise a full palate, but actually less vibrant with subdued fruit (cherry) than expected, especially compared with other Sea Smokes I have had.

Roboust Cali cab with rich berry nose and equally robust on the palate with atouch of oak and a hint of mushroom. Nicely balanced after an hour of decanting.

Incredible nose of dark fruit, tobacco, and warm earth. The gorgeous nose is followed by an equally impressive smooth and balanced dark fruit and a lighter side note of oak taste that gies on and on...each sip is to be savored. Went perfectly with the filet mignon dinner.

Smoke and blackberry nose with some tar. Blackberry to start, long smooth middle, with a nice mild tannic finish as a nice counterpoint to the acidic middle.

Earthy nose that leads one to expect a much more robust pinot on the palate. Instead the light, fruity flavors that follow seem weak and uninspiring

Floral nose. Initially very tannic, which took about 6 hours to soften. The front and mid palate were weak--very citrus and very little fruit. No terroir to speak of.
