Big, full of fruit, a little sweet. Honestly doesn’t taste much different than it did 5 years ago. Plenty of life left in this bottle.
Red
Young. A lot better 24 hours after opening.

Big for an Oregon Pinot, with plenty of red cherry and dark berry fruit. Tasty, and still going strong.

Just barely corked but enough to make both me and the wine sad.

This is an utterly spectacular dessert wine. Each sip explodes on the palate with raisins, spiced nuts, incredible depth, and just the right amount of sweetness. A real pleasure.

This is in a great place right now. Red cherry with blueberry, dark chocolate, and vanilla flavors. Really builds on the mid-palate and the finish is endless.

First bottle was corked. Hope my other bottles are okay.

Most of 5he flavor is on the back end now. Dark sour cherry, some cranberry, and some earthiness. Enjoyable but this bottle is maybe a touch past its prime. Better with food than by itself.

This was watery with almost no flavor. Not corked but something was clearly wrong with it. Maybe heat damage?

Really enjoyed this. Fairly big black cherry fruit with some currant and a little earthiness. Was better the second day.

I don’t often drink Mencia and every time I do my first impression is that something is wrong with it, perhaps mildly corked. But onc3 I get the flavor profile I warm to it. This bottle had plenty of dark berry flavors along with pleasant flowery flavors. This will never be my favorite kind of wine but fun to drink now and then.

Very Washington state, and nothing like Chianti. Big and bold, with plenty of fruit. Tasty. I enjoyed it.

This was the first Cayuse wine I’ve had that isn’t a Syrah. Fair amount of fruit on the front end along with some of that Cayuse savory funk. I thought it could be a bit bolder through the mid palate and finish. An enjoyable wine but not a memorable one. Perhaps I opened it a tad early.

After having had several bottles of the 2019 and the 2020 I can confidently say I like the 2020 more. That isn't to say this isn't ready, but it's a little muddy on the midpalate and lacks the richness of the 2020.

Bought this at Costco for $15 - had never heard of it but it turned out to be quite enjoyable. Crisp but definitely some cherry and other "reddish" flavors.

Way better than the bottle I opened a year ago. Much more settled and smooth, softer, with more delineated flavors.

Like all Lewis wines I’ve had this is really full throttle - one of the bigger fruitier white wines I’ve tasted. I liked it but it’s probably a bit much for some people.

Surprised by the last few tasting notes. Decanted for an hour and it was delicious. You’ve got to like the salty bloody Cayuse style though.

The people at Dunn said this was drinking well now and they weren’t fooling. Dark cherry and cassis with fully integrated tannins, tasted mature but vibrant - seems like the right time to drink this.

Thought this was delicious. Cherry and currant flavors mix with some ripe blackberry and blueberry. Obviously a Napa cab but somehow captures a little bit of the flavor profile of a good Shiraz. It’s all under control. Would buy again.

Tasty cab. This bottle wasn’t past it’s prime-in fact it was actually better the second night when the tannins were softer.

This was disappointing. Flavor profile seemed more like a mediocre Cabernet than a syrah, with cherry and some darker fruit flavors. Short finish, overall just kind of blah. Wouldn't buy again even at the discounted Costco price.

This was cold when I started drinking it and the wine seemed austere and acidic though a nice enough deck wine. As it warmed up characteristic savignon blanc flavors emerged and the wine became more interesting and enjoyable.

This is delicious and doesn’t seem past its drinking window. Slightly sweet rich cherry and a hint of plum combine into a single zingy dark flavor on the mid pallet ending with lingering cherry and some acid. Other wines develop secondary and tertiary flavors as they age - this one seems to just mellow out.

Better than I expected from the reviews here. Took a couple hours in the decanter before it tasted like a grenache but eventually nice earthy cherry flavors with herbal undertones. I'm glad I have more.

I was really disappointed with this. On the first night there were nondescript flavors of cherry and blackberry. I put it aside thinking it needed time to open up but it got worse rather than better overnight. Alas, such is this adventure we call wine.

Cherry and some black pepper with a little plum and vanilla. A decent tannic backbone that makes me think it would last a while. The best wine we had at our recent tasting at the vineyard.
