Glorious. Drinking beautifully. I drank this for Max’s ACL surgery recovery. Very silky, dark fruit - cherry. Some white pepper. Still has years on it. Glad I have more.
Red
Still fresh and drinking well after 15 years.

Pleasant Rosé. Very light salmon color. Floral notes. On the dry end of the spectrum. Went well with sautéed trout.

Pop n pour. Really nice strawberry notes right out of the bottle. Mellowed on the second day. Overall a nicely aged Pinot.

Bright, lively strawberry on the nose with other red fruit. Carries over to the taste. Good acid balance and long finish for Rosé. Great with some spicy food - had this the second night with hot wings.

This still has life! It has lightened up a bit. Smokey and meaty but still has some fruitiness.

Excellent Mourvedre. Drank on Hardy's Zoom virtual tasting. Upon opening - aroma of cinnamon. Agree with Hardy's comments and others --- red raspberry, other red berries. Nice spices maybe rosemary. A bit of funk and earth. Not "heavy" at all. Went well with the music. Second night with dinner - went well with food.

Still has life and drinking nicely. Has the expected deep, darkness of the Malbecs from Cahors. Very dark fruit - cherry, raspberry, plum. Spices and leather. Got what I thought was some oak - but these were aged in clay pots.

Very nice sweetie - esp at the end of an evening of Southwest France wines. Got the honey, orange peel and caramel. Not quite up to a 2001 Yquem but not a bad way to end the meal.

Took to dinner at Forsythia with Amanda and Robert. Opened about 5 hours prior to dinner and decanted entire time. This bottle was beautiful. Robert requested a "big and bold" wine -- this one filled the bill. Dark, dark fruit. Well integrated tannins. Some spice and pepper. Paired very well with the foie and the pork. Everyone enjoyed this one. Very happy to have one more bottle in the cellar.

Sadly, I waited too long for this one. A bit too oxidized for my taste -- but great for cooking up some risotto. Very dark golden color.

This still had lots of life. Softened over the years. I think the shraz is giving way to the cab and merlot. Decanted and opened for about six hours helped open up the red fruit.

Five hour decant. Still showing very well. Well integrated and balanced. Lots of black fruit and some pepper. Tasted alongside a 2005 Saxum. Both had same varietals but different ratios. Saxum came out a bit on top.

Loved by all who tasted. Double decant five hours prior to tasting. Oak and tannins very well integrated. Well balanced. Really didn’t feel heat from a 15.6% bottle. Lots of smooth black fruits.

Although a bit $$$ for Rosé - this was very tasty even with the 3 years sitting in my cellar. Strawberry flavors and good acid. Not sweet at all. Serve chilled --- lost some flavor as it got warm.

Very nice. Had this at Will on lobster night. Paired very well. Got better as evening went on. Citrusy. I think lemon notes with great acid. Also floral - maybe honeysuckle. Very different than Arcadian Sleepy Hollow Chard.

Decanted about 4 hours prior to tasting. At our Tuesday Tasting group with a theme of "The Grape Unknown." This showed very well - I got mostly red/black fruit with pepper and floral notes - just like the winemaker's tasting notes. Several of folks around the table actually got a taste of banana - which was unusual. And a few folks got some quince. It was enjoyed all around and was a nice representation of a not so common varietal.

Just a wonderful expression of an 18 year old Pinot by Joe Davis. Muted fruit with spices but getting more funky and forrest floor like a nicely aging Burgundy. I think this might be Francesca's birth year wine. She is now a freshman in college. I have watched Francesca grow up over the past 10+ years and she should be proud of her dad for producing such a great name-sake wine. My last 2000 but have lots of other vintages to enjoy in the future. I know I will save one for her graduation from college!

We didn't identify this as 100% Cabernet. A ton of sediment. 5 hour decant. Alcohol came through - a bit hot. Licorice, current and spice. Unusual wine but we did enjoy it. Held up well for 15 years.

Six hour decant -- -which it needed. Silky and well balanced - 100% Carignan. Dark fruit, tannins smoothed out at the 9-year mark. Went very well with the flatbread - this needs some food. This is an excellent Priorat. Gorgeous label:)

Had not had a Dunstan previously. This was opened at our annual Night Before Christmas party and not finished. I took it to dinner two days later and it was in a perfect place. Great acid, not much oak comes through (aged 14 months in 30% new French oak). Winery website says "no malolactic fermentation." Fresh and lively with a long finish. Vanilla with some spice flavors.

Four hour decant. Served chilled. Great WTSO bargain @ $26. Cherries, spice, no heat - long finish. Still has time in bottle - no rush to drink up. I last drank one of the bottles in 2010 and this has improved a bit in the seven years. More of a "cherry" flavor than the "strawberry" on the previous bottle.

Certainly a well aged Brunello. Cork was fine -- not much sediment. Fruit has given way to the leather, chocolate, coffee flavors. Tannins have softened as well. Still drinking nicely.

This was past its prime but enjoyable, none-the-less. Lost a lot of the primary fruit which was replaced by very soft tannins and some herbaceous notes. A lot of sediment. Gave this a 6 hour decant and filtered most of the sediment. Cork was fine - and it wasn't "spoiled" in any way.

I am finally getting around to opening the 2007 Châteauneufs. This one still had plenty of life left. The color has turned to that more muted red shade. Tannins are getting well integrated. Just as others have noted --- I got the red cherry, kirsch, and tobacco flavors. I drank over three nights and it opened up a bit on day three.
