perfect time to drink this gem with our Colorado rack of lamb. Possessing gobs of cassis and blackberries with some licorice on the side. Only one more bottle left. Sigh!

Wonderful nose. Still a baby. Showing nascent signs of integrating into a complex wine.

This was a delicious wine with minerality and remaining balance of fruit and brightness. Wish I had more.

Popped this for dinner with some ribeye. Wow what a nose. This AC wine is in perfect shape. Not a monster but balanced and hitting all the right burgundian notes.

This wine was still tannic but lacking much fruit. I guess I'm spoiled by the French version. I'm going to start pulling my older Panoplies to check them out.

Surprisingly delicious, since prior bottles were green peppery and unpleasant. This was integrated, rich on the palate and just yummy.

Pulled this one too late. Still drinkable but on the downhill slide.

This rating is for the good bottle. The first one was almost undrinkable. The second showed the wonderful fruit and balance I remembered when I first tasted this wine although definitely on the downhill slide. Very Burgundian with nice acid and restrained fruit.

Tasted along side some California Beckman Syrahs at a dinner, this monster needs time. I took at least an hour for the wine to even come close to showing any fruit, but it was coming on as the night progressed. Nice cherry fruit and balanced tannins with a reticent nose. The next bottle will not be opened for many years.

This one should have been consumed a few years ago. Not turned yet but fruit is waning and the finish tending towards bitter tannins.

Opened with some buddies at lunch. Impressive but a youngster with a little burn on the finish. Great big fruit bomb.

Wow I wasn't expecting such a youthful delicious pinot noir tonight. So glad I have four more bottles to enjoy. Mature, ripe and structured.

WOW Drank this with ribeye steak tonight. Just purchased at the winery last weekend and wish I had more! This is the hammer in a velvet glove, with bursting cherry fruit from the cab franc and merlot blend. The 14.9% alcohol is not apparent as the richness of this wine goes on and on. A hedonistic bomb.

Poetry in a glass. Velvety texture and aromas of roses and earth finishing with a blast of harmonious tannins. Worth waiting for and maybe close to peaking.

A pleasant wine but not anything special. Tasted with a 98 CDP and was similar in character and taste. Maybe more air would help.

Favorite of the evening at Racion tasted along side 2005 Calatayud Pizarras and a blind 98 CDP. Exhibited bold nose with dark fruit and chocolate nuances. Not showing its age. Glad I have a few more bottles.

Pulled this beauty from my cellar last week and glad I did. Drinking wonderfully with nice integrated tannins and resolved berry fruit. Perfect with Taylor's bone in ribeye. One more bottle and I think I'll wait a few years.

Drank this with 12 other CDPs for a group lunch. This won its flight and was one of the top wines of the day. Tasted the 2000 Rayas next to it and the 98 clobbered it with its intensity and overwhelming nose. My last bottle...sad but it was drinking spectacularly.

Mountain fruit all the way. We served this at a comparative tasting with Cal Cabs from 95-99. This was one of the standouts but was eclipsed by 97 Insignia, 97 Togni, 99 Verite and the winner 97 Briant Family. However this was close in a tasting of amazing old cabs including among others, 99, 95 Beringer PR, 95 Leonetti, 98 Quilceda, Seavey 97.....not a dog in the bunch but the Dunn kept getting better in the glass as the lunch wore on. I'm glad I have three more bottles to age....:-)

Served with other more Old World style Aussies, this one really stood out with its resolved balance of mature fruit and great structure. Fooled three Master Soms at the tasting as to origin and variety. What fun!

Lovely to drink now. Smooth tannins and great fruit make this a well balanced drinker. I'm drinking the rest of this one soon. Great value from a mystery source in Napa.

This bottle was still showing some structure but waning fruit. Enjoyed at the tasting for its historical marker, but the 1990 obviously showed what it could have been years ago.

Brought this to a wonderful tasting at the Beverly Hill Cheese Store. This was paired with Fois Gras with blue cheese polenta & honeycomb. A perfect pairing it was showing golden hues with rich minerrality and a sweet nose. The oldest wine in the tasting did not disappoint. Thank you Chambers for having this beauty on your shelves.
