perhaps the finest Shiraz I've tasted.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like raspberry and red currant. It tastes like forest floor and black pepper. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

The Prisoner has been a consistent solid wine. Have enjoyed many vintages and enjoyed all. This one was purchased in 2011 and enjoyed Christmas Day 2015. Aged well. Served decanted for 30 minutes. Heavy on the fruit - though not a fruit bomb at all. Strong but pleasurable Cherry tones. Texture was on the thinner side of what you would expect, but not overly noticeable. Will continue to collect and horde The Prisoner.

This was purchased in 2010 and cellared for 5 years. Decanted for an hour - spectacular. Very aromatic - plum, blackberry, strong coffee - wonderful texture - almost silky. Sorry I had to share but still managed to enjoy 2 glasses.

I've never had a CdP before.....and I was expecting something different...
I've heard bacon fat expressed in cdp....but didn't notice any.
It was mouthy....like velvet.
Intense cherry feel....but not overpowering. A bit of pepper and oregano. Low tannin.
Had it with a roast beef and it went very well.

THE Best Cabernet Sauvignon I have ever had. Slight aroma, but wow....the flavors are complex. I could (and will) enjoy a whole bottle myself.

Not sure why, but I expected to enjoy this a lot more. Overall, not much to comment on, nothing noteworthy....$9 bottle sums it up

this is a poor mans Mollydooker The Boxer, with a stong alcohol kick....dark purple color with strong fruit bomb flavor. Blackberry/Pepper...a bit spicy....I really enjoyed this

Decent...not great...$15 was a bit much.
Sort of koolaid-esque with bubbles. Bubbles dispersed very rapidly.
Refreshing but lacking in complexity.

Drank out of the bottle - no aeration or decanting. You can definitely smell the alcohol in this one...almost the only scent coming through on the nose. The one taste that stands out is cedar. Interesting aftertaste that I have not been able to nail down.

Bottle 2 consumed in April of 2017 - nowhere near as good as the original bottle. It was stored in 56 degree cooler - and was a bit harsh. Definitely did not improve with age.

Initial Bottle consumer in July of 2011 - OMG...this was so good for a $12 bottle. So many complex aromas and flavors. A bit of licorice stood out. I would love to be able to find more of this.
The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It tastes like black pepper, petrol and stoniness. The body is medium/full. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Velvety feel....hint of cherries....dark purple colour, perhaps the darkest I have seen. Excellent for sub $10 wine.

Strawberries with sugar. Very sweet. Peachy taste with smoothness of apricot. Thick but not quite syrupy.

Surprisingly good for an $8 bottle. Noticably peachy, and went down oh so smooth. While this is branded as a Sweet Riesling, it was not in any way overpowering. It would go wonderfully well sitting by the pool or at the beach served chilled.

This was AMAZING. Yes...its different, but on a warm day, a nice cold glass of sparkling shiraz is amazing. This has the usual MD fruit bomb taste, but more refined and the bubbles add to it.
Wish I bought more than 2 and wish i can find more.

My first Pomerol. Decanted and drank immediately. First glass was not impressive. Earthy best describes it. Second glass was about 20 minutes later and opened up quite a bit. Third glass at 35 minutes and I will say was worth the wait. Rating based on the longer aerated experience.

I have had 2 bottles of the same vintage 2008 MD Scooter and would say that they should stick to Cabs and Shiraz. Nothing wrong with the Scooter, but not up to par with the rest of MD.
Drank without decanting on a night with several other wines and this was not a standout.

Another bottle that was abused. Half drank and forgotten about. Fairly good but subpar to TF20.

Drank about half of this bottle over the course of a month WITHOUT vaccuum sealing and then forgot about it for over 7 years. Recently found it and sampled and it was still drinkable, but definitely NOT TF20 caliber. I would not advise treating this spectacular port in such an undignified manner.

Drank over the course of 2 weeks in vaccuum sealed bottle. Considerable figgyness which appears to grow over the 2 weeks the bottles was opened

Not much to this though.

Noticeable cherry taste which was about the only thing that was not unpleasant about this. Would not recommend in any way for drinking.
