Deep opaque black-garnet color. Aromas of boysenberry, melted stone & graphite, tapenade, paprika, bacon fat - medium intensity. Ripe black plum concentration on the palate offset with mineral high-tones to a core of dense secondary iron and dark spices - nice flavor intensity throughout. Sleek structure, full-bodied. Medium acidity with chewy-round tannins and some heat in the back palate. Closes with good overall depth and length. To my palate, this shows a little greater balance than many Paso wines in this style.

Two-plus hour decant. Full ruby color. Big secondary aromatics of star anise, saddle leather & earth, smoked paprika, braised fig, rose hips and tea leaves. The palate is dense with fine expansive layers of raspberry & fig fruit, mineral tension, florals and earth spices that emerge with time and air. The structure is initially hard, later emerging into thick and plush through the middle, with vibrant acid that opens the fruit from front to back. Ample tannins show some give and polish, with a succulent and long finish. Excellent. Young-secondary. Requires a good decant or more time. 93+

Snappy and sumptuous primary fruit on the palate with compressed secondary depth consistent with the nose. Drinking well and in a good place, but lay it down if you're looking for more maturity.

Drank at a dinner, didn't get full notes. Generally speaking, this was nicely expressive on the nose with saddle leather, plum, tapenade, flowers and cured meats. Surprisingly supple and open (for a young Levet) on the palate with dark savory fruit and depth along ample structure that was forgiving and rounded. Very young but entering approachability. Excellent and enjoyed by my group, all fans of Northern Rhône Syrah.

Took to a dinner, didn't write a full note. Generally consistent notes with earlier bottles. Moving into a secondary stage with well-developed secondary depth emerging that offsets fruit that is still open and expressive. Very well-integrated structure with very nice elegance to the tannins. Excellent depth throughout. Showing very well.
