This was really nice. Notes of earth and mushroom underneath the fruit.

If you have the opportunity to taste this wine, do it. Had it in NYC where it paired incredibly well with a corn and mushroom soup with truffles. Ordered some the next week. Awesome nose. Full-bodied and floral with a fruity, mouthcoating palate that gives an impression of creaminess. Zero acidity. Unlike most any white wine I've had.

Took this to a dinner party, it ended up getting opened part way through, and it was absolutely stunning.

Such a great value and in a really good place. Opens with a lot of savory notes, leather and olives, and gained a jammy edge with air.

Nice wine, but real young yet. Lots of tannin even after decant.

Took to a five course tasting menu and the wine sort of stole the show -- each course picked up a different element of the wine, which evolved throughout the dinner, e.g. the vichyssoise with crumbles of potatoes and bacon highlighted the savory, earth and smoke, notes of the wine. A memorable evening.

A nice bottle with notes of apple and pear delivered with bright acidity. Paired exceptionally well with pork belly, grits, and greens in red eye gravy.

Bear with the unconventional note: Bought this to educate my Riesling palate. Recently moved to Finger Lakes area and, while I've drank and enjoyed many FLX Rieslings, I've noticed a couple of patterns: 1. Good examples from the AVA tend to be austere, marked by purity and brisk acidity. 2. The sweeter versions, while often palate fatiguing, actually have some richness (I usually get honey) on the midpalate.

So, what I am very much enjoying about this wine is that it balances very distinctive midpalate apple and pear notes with great minerality and a citric acid edge on the back end. There's a sweetness from the fruit without being sweet and an overall impression of creaminess.

Nice wine. Plenty of varietal character with some earth and red fruits. Probably a bit past its window. Would love to find more.

Different bottling. Gewurtz with some oak, which adds some depth and roundness to the palate.

Think it was flawed. Grapey nose with distinct black pepper note, "thin" effervescent (on opening) palate marked mainly by high acidity. Major bummer.

Very good, well made wine, but pretty heavy on the oak. Loads of vanilla and (as my wife pointed out) almost amaretto. Unfortunately, compromises some of the varietal character I think. More balanced on day two.

This seems mislabeled. Wine I scanned is "Rosso di Toscana" from Leone D'Oro. In any case, it's very good. Fantastic nose with clove and spice and a balanced, dark berry palate. Outdrinks a Brunello I had two nights ago.

Out of the bottle, I was convinced it was spoiled. The nose was incredibly muted and the palate seemed nearly devoid of all tannin. Welches-like. Sediment is caked on the sides of bottle. Day 2 and its a completely different wine, displaying hints of the notes others have highlighted. I'm stumped.

This is good. A bit tight on day 1, but full of leather and rawhide on the nose, it has smoothed out beautifully on the second day, striking an excellent balance between the dark fruit, oak, and alcohol. A great bargain.

Decanted an hour. Detected the effervescence noted by others. The nose betrays the Mourvedre's presence; "garbage" my wife said. A touch of minerality and acid complement the red fruit profile on the palate. Day 2, the stuffing's fallen out and it's mostly hot, flabby, and bitter.

If the palate of this wine lived up to its nose, it could score maybe into the mid-90s. The nose has notes of earth, nutmeg, clove, toast or baked apple pie, and eucalyptus.

Drank over two days and wow, night and day. On day one, it was woody, astringent, tight, and plainly unpleasant. No fruit and a nose of only oak. If rating, maybe 84. Day two now and the wine is open, ripe, fleshy, a palate full of dark fruits with a finish that lingers. Flowers and herbs emerge on the nose. It doesn't have as many secondary notes as I'd like, but I've never experienced an overnight change in a wine like this. I'll let the next bottle sit a few years.

Got my Carlisle offer letter and figured I better crack open a bottle before committing. Lots of leather, dark fruit, perhaps some herbs and bacon fat, touch of heat, soft tannins, and some pepper and oak. Great wine. The profile really reminded me of Bedrock's Sonoma bottling.

Incredible nose of blackberry pie and maybe a touch of cinnamon. Ripe and flabby and almost dessert wine or Port-like; hedonistic. 2 days out, what structure the wine initially retained has given way to raisin. I was surprised to see that I liked my last bottle so much.

A lot of tannin and stuffing, but plenty of dark fruit. The nose is wonderful; the smoke and leather is accompanied by sweeter notes of cedar and clove or even tobacco. A tad on the hot side, though delicious all the same.
