Pulled the cork at 2:00PM for a 6:30PM consumption. Unreal wine. Structure, character and fruit. Still a baby. Opened for my 55th birthday. I have two more bottles. One for 60 and one for 65! Something to look forward to for sure.

Excellent Sauv Blanc. Paired with grilled Halibut and pesto. Delicious!
The only thing I did not like is the price point, too high for this type of varietal.

This was an amazing bottle of right bank Bordeaux. Paired with Steak Frites with Au Poivre sauce and was the bottle of the night. Went up against Chateau Lascombes '09 Margaux and won handily. Gave it a good one hour decant.

Drank this from a mago unreal after an hour decant. Nice hillside juice close to Melanson and Colgin. Very Bordeaux like characteristics. Winner!

Decanted for about 40 mins. very tight and then opened up in the glass.

Paired with Wagu rib eye.and filet mignon steak at Arroyo Chop House in Pasadena. Amazing pairing and well worth the wait.

Opened a magnum. Great juice. Opened 40 mins before serving during Thanksgiving dinner. Paired well with all the sides and roasted turkey. Very nice wine.

Thin to the wind! This wine tastes more like a Pinot then a Cab especially from Oakville. Use this wine for the office Thanksgiving pot luck and blow it out. Very disappointing.

This a well balanced Oakville cabernet. Great juice and 10 years in the bottle makes it perfect to consume. Drink up over the next two years.

Drank this from the magnum at Mastro's Ocean Grill in Malibu for my birthday. Absolutely in its prime right now. This wine is the closest to Bordeaux in the Napa Valley. Amazing... fricking amazing!

Backus is the crown jewel of Napa Cab. It won out over Shrader Hillside, Sloan, Maya, Hundred Acre in side by side tasting. Enjoyed it with Tomahawk Ribeyes and grilled octopus. Beautiful wine.

Probably the best SRH Syrah I have had this year. Absolutely amazing. The reaction from those at the table was consistent with mine. This wine is special and has the ability to last for 3-4 more years in the cellar.

Terrific wine. Needed a 45 min decant. Delicious wine and perfectly balanced. No "gas bomb" effect from the higher alcohol Stefan's wines. It has at least 3-5 years.

This a good 3rd or 4th bottle after consuming better wines from Paso ie L'Aventure, Daou, Lin e Calado etc.... It wasn't bad but also not great.

I paid $12.00 /bottle and I felt there was value at that price point.

The cork fell apart, but after a filtered decant, the wine was off the charts. Paired with grilled tritip over an oak wood fire. Amazing structure and fruit.

This type of Rhone style wine is the best palate cleanser to start an evening of wine and food. This is our house wine and our go to for a glass or to pull for guests that want something light and refreshing and not a Pinot Gris.

Excellent with appetizers and light spring salads.

Drank from a Mago and needed at least a 45 min decant. The wine had some great fruit left however it seem to fade as the evening wore on. Paired with grilled rack of lamb. Drink up in 2020 no later in my opinion.

Just had this wine with Prime Rib French Dip and was amazing. Pop and pour in the glass and give it 20 mins for the wine to open up. Still avlot of fruit. Great juice.

Popped and poured. Paired with beef kabobs grilled medium rare and forbidden rice. Perfect for the first 30 mins then it faded. Maybe going through a dormant phase. Two more bottles left. Will pull in 2020 and 2022.
