Ready for business, the generous style is offering multi-layered, nicely transparent flavors of candied orange and lemon. Surely not the beast in precision, but so natural and some character here too, even combined with a touch of elegance.
The high alcohol grade of 14,5 ABV, typical for the year, is tied up with all other components. Such a consistent, well-lasting showing in this early stage of evolution. Well done! Will surely evolve further on next five to seven yrs and should last ten yrs plus. 90+

Brick colour, earthiness, bright character delivering red fruits, leather with some spices. Remarkable, persisting finish, little bit drying but the wine is drinking well. Would not guess a 30 yrs old wine in a blind tasting!

Ten years since last note, but had some bottles in-between which were'nt adequately aired I guess or simply not ready, however this one is talking with a little air.
Looks bold and young, smells young too. Sweet nose is packed with delicate aromas of ripe, little red berries and some flowers too, light-hearted and nothing grave, no earth at all, so fluid and a bit etherial. Not perfectly balanced though, but what a wine for a Cru Bourgeois. Glad to have found this left over, remaining one or two bottles won't wait for long.

Had a bad bottle of this which was off but the last one is singing: impressive given the age, very balanced, long aftertaste and wide-spreaded aroma of berries, green tea, forest floor, mushrooms, fresh flowers indeed, didn't change since last degustation three years ago. Cork was completely wet, so take care if you're lucky holder.

Zitrus und kandierte Früchte. Erstaunliche Feinheit. Konsistenter, äußerst langer Nachhall. Sehr gelungen. Hält praktisch noch ewig, keine Eile geboten.

Opened 8 days ago. Light color for the age. So complete, great nose on yellow and exotic fruits, beautiful acid, seamless, ever-lasting finish. Great wine.

Good to forget a bottle in the cellar sometimes, as in this case: surprisingly decent wine with freshness and long finish on citrus fruit.
Met this wine 20 yrs ago or so, stunning again about this fine wine-making. Good for drinking without food too.

Ageless color. Consistent with inviting nose, bright and incredibly delicious red berries, ripe and crispy kirsch with hints of vanilla, melting in the mouth. Good grip nevertheless. Long lasting, persistent finish, generous appearance, a personality. Over expectations, on peak. Pomerol at its best.

Nice showing, nose a bit port-like but very appealing red fruits nevertheless. Dense, delicate, long aftertaste, nothing to complain here. Will last some days further on in good conditions.

Better than last tasted, pnp, dark colored, immediately delicious nose showing subtle notes of raspberries and dark red fruits. Good texture, some crushed berries but remaining hints of tannin too, guess will be getting only better.

In a good spot now. Decanted for 2-3 hrs, then beginning to come to its own. St. Estephe perfume, dense colored, good red fruits, harmony and typicity with touch of noblesse.

Best result here with great glass which stood in cool cellar for a day, initially no fruit notes. Great balance and ease on day 2, much freshness accompanying deep aromas of underwood, dried fruit and spices.

First encounter with this slow beauty for me. Formidable!

This wine gives an incredibly young impression. Plastik Cork is nearly completely wet. Brilliant Color and clear, intense nose of cherry, plums and some caramel. Good density and middle length, overall fine wine, surprisingly enough given the vintage. This has gracefully aged.

Red berries and rose hip tea in the nose, all a bit high toned. Much personality, elegance, consistence right from the start but playing all cards only for so. with some patience: clearly best sip on day 3 from remaining small tasting glas. Good length, great robustness, sweet fruit expression. Great wine.
