Earthy dusty tannins initially. Blackberry plum develops, but tooth coating tannins hang in. Better with rich foods. Fats and flavor. Maybe lamb rosemary.

Smelled delightful candy cherry at once. Began fading quickly. Shows its age with fading fruit but still has bright acids. Doesn't appear to gain any more complexity with time in the glass.

It was delightful with lamb chops. A bit of char plum raspberry cocoa. Sweet tannins. Really nice long finish.

A decent barbera acids are bright. Doesn't appear to have the fruit depth for much aging. Not a lot of earth depth either.
