I would say that despite all the findings above I would give this wine another shot in a couple of years and see if I can draw a conclusion on this particular wine.

Oh yes! Beautiful deep colour in the glass, fine bead and beautiful complex, nose - you know it is going to be good - it doesn't disappoint. Complex arrange of flavours white fruits, citrus, stones, toast with hints of secondary complexity. Quite a savoury overall style (at least in comparison to the Krug 1995 - which, incidentally this knocked the spots off). Super weight, texture and mouthfeel. Very serious. So good I emailed the wine merchant by the end of the first glass to buy more. Not to be missed based on this showing!
