Third of six purchased recently. The other two had oxidative notes that didn’t detract too much, but aren’t what I associate with Jacquesson. This bottle is fresher, with weight balancing out the house zippiness, plenty of red fruit, and a lengthy finish. What I was hoping for!

Night one was a bold combo of oak (immediate chocolate on the nose) and fruit (PnP). Good, but not woven together. Night two shows better balance, with cherry in the fore. Looking forward to trying in another 5 years!

Great QPR. Medium bodied, supple texture, good mix of acid and minerality. Not fruity per se, but plenty of citrus to hold things in balance. No oak, aged in stainless.

Singing after an hour+ decant. This improved over the past year.

Much more going on than when last drank 14 months ago. Starting to hit its stride.

Two bottles - first amber and oxidized. Second was unflawed but over the hill. Little fruit left.

Lemon curd, tart, sharp acid, balanced by salinity and yeast. Slightly chalky texture. Excellent length to the finish.

A bit of brioche on the nose, with lemon. Initial reaction is that the fruit here belies the extra brut dosage, but further sips reveal a pleasing salinity and minerality. Lime on the finish. Clean, racy style. Good QPR.

Very dry and mineral. More austere than expected based on house style and the 2002 and I wonder if this is bottle variation. Baked apple and a bit of lemon with mainly wet stone. Nice lingering finish. Am going to give my remaining bottles a bit of time.

Quaffable, but past its peak. Some tartness and a bit bitter and stony on the finish. Worth the $7 paid, however.

Interesting transition on the palate from fruit to minerality. Taut mineral finish and a baked pear nose.

Reticent nose, yeast, beeswax, apple. Rich on the palate, candied ripe apple at the forefront. A touch high on the dosage for me but well made with a pleasantly lingering finish.

Drinking nicely. Slightly earthy, unctuous texture, pleasantly surprised by the QPR.

Found this stonier and more mineral than expected, especially on the lingering finish. This bottle didn't seem particularly sweet to me; on the extra side of brut. Quite lovely.

Surprised by the amount of oak at this price point, but it's fairly well integrated. On the fruity side, with not much minerality, and a bit of a tartly acidic finish. Very good QPR at $18.

A distinctive rosé, oxidative and complex, aged under flor in large foudres. Not dissimilar to the Lopez de Heredia rosé.

Great value - the clean lemon tartness and minerality one would expect, with a subtle undertone of oak providing some complexity. Even a touch of rhubarb on the palate.

Brioche and maple on the nose, good acidity and complexity. Fine bead. Worked well as an aperitif. Touch of sourness on the finish.

A touch tannic, but coming into its own. Turpentine, blackberry, chocolate, leather.

Not a lot on the nose, but crisp and vibrant on the palate. Enough minerality to give it a little structure, with citrus and pineapple. Simple and straightforward, but very pleasant, and for $9.99, excellent QPR.

Mineral nose, almost acetone. White fruit on the palate backed by quite a bit of acidity. Pleasant enough, but simple.

Very clean. Not much nose initially. Tart without being sour. Peach, apple, maybe a hint of brioche, but not a toasty fizz by any means.
