Perhaps all these people who drank this wine when it was only one or two years old should practice patience. At eight years old, this wine is singing. It is rich and with a slightly anise note along with dark berry on the tongue, and a slightly medicinal (but not in a bad way) nose. A very complex set of flavors, with a long and herbal finish. Thre's a lot going on here without any real breathing time...

Perhaps the best bottle of red wine ever produced in the Americas. Beautifully structured, with a gorgeous garnet color and full mouth-feel. Long, luxurious finish. Boysenberry, cassis, red currants on the front, with a tobacco aftertaste. We shall not taste its like again...

Has the smoke and men's club leather I want out of a classic tempranillo. I see old green glass reading lamps and men with watch fobs smoking cigars. Wonderful stuff...

Nice slightly tart cherry. Just right acidity. Good long finish on the front palate. Well balanced now, but a hint of softness beginning; I would not hold more than another year.

I opened this wine and, with little time to breathe, I thought it performed nicely. Dark fruit, black raspberry, boysenberry, and with a nice long finish and moderate acidity. It seemed right about at its perfect peak.

I agree also on the cherry cola notes. A bit hot, but a lighter bodied wine. I was looking for something that I could drink with hazelnut crusted halibut (I don't drink white except at gunpoint or in July), and so I like a lighter pinot. I thought it went well. I think it also could go a few more years in the bottle, so the 2013 end date on this is underestimating it.

Brighter fruit than I remembered. I very good, but not great wine as I had once hoped it would be. It is at tis prime now, will be too soft in another two years. Drink, don't hold

A beautifully balanced wine with dark fruit, bright acidity and a nice long finish. Should drink well for several more years but excellent now

Perhaps past its time, but a well made pinot should make it six years these days. Came out of the bottle a bit fizzy, with a funky, slightly bitter after taste. After a few hours, both negative qualities were gone, but it's still thin except in the center of the mouth and has no real finish. Fruit is medium dark cherry, nice but nothing complex.

Agree on the cherry cola, assertive tannins. But I found this to be well balanced out of the bottle. Did not have with food. A trifle "hot," but perhaps it's devleoped since some of the previous commentaries. I don't know what other people are finding in the $25 range, but I thought this was a great wine for the price point.

This bottle had a long finish with that beautiful characteristic peppery-ness that defines a zinfandel. We has with spicy food (chorizo-shrimp quessadilla with chipotle guacamole) which might sound odd, but the Turley brought out the heat in the food deliciously. Totally enjoyable bottle.

Beautiful dark fruit, earthy, long finish. Has a few more years in the bottle but drinking gorgeously now. Should have bought more!

Light, well balanced. smooth. Medium red fruit, quite dirnkable but could age another few years. For the price a great value. Wish I had bought more

Fruity but with no spice ot speak of and a one note quality. Rather disappointing.

I honestly don't know what prior reviewers are talking about. Yes, 2007 was difficult, but good winmakers survive the worst vintages. We opened this tonight, and while the very first taste was thin, that literally resovled with one minute of breathing. This was a balanced, medium fruit (dark cherry) wine, that paired well with both Maytag blue cheese and wild boar pate. Thoroughly enjoyable. We also opens a 1789 and a Patricia Green (always among my favorites), and all of us agreed this was the best bottle of the night.

This is a gorgeous and smooth bottle of wine with just the right note of acidity, a smokiness, and deep almost purple fruit. It has enough structure to cellar for several years, but is drinkable now.

Agree with the other comments. Had a bottle tonight with a farro mushroom risotto, and the food brought out the earthy tones and the darker aspects of the wine. A perfect fall combination

I loved it, but if you've still got some, drink it now. Nice balance, good acidity but enough offsetting tannins. ark fruit, had with double-cream brie and mushroom tarts. Earthy feel complimented the food well.

Agree with prior comments. Blackbrerry, currant, all the dark fruit I love. Long finish. Could have gone a few more years. Damn, I only have one left!

Nice color, good first hit with medium red fruit, but little of the distinguishing "pepper" of a zin, and, contrary to another note here, I found very little finish. An okay food wine, but not a drink alone bottle

Bought four of these at the winery yesterday and immediately experienced remorse I hadn't purchased more. This is an amazing bottle of wine. Dark fruit, great structure, alcohol in jsut the right proportion, and a finish that just doesn't finish, but goes on and on and on. Immediately took on to a restaurant with us. only a few minutes to breathe, adn all teh characteristics we experienced at the winery came out beautifully. This is a joy to drink now, but could cellar for at least five years.

Frankly disappointing. All the fruit I has tasted in the winery was not present. Nor do I sense it will evolve over time. There was planty of structure, but it was more in the Burgundian style, with minerality and some smoke, but otherwise light tasting.

Absolutely an astonishing wine. We had it last night with salmon with red curry, but it's a great drink-on-it's own bottle. The dark fruit is a combination of blackberry and currants and something I couldn't put my finger on. The finish doesn't...it just keeps on going. It was perfectly structured, with more tannin than one usually finds in a pinot, but it worked. If Adelsheim has any left, grab it.

Not getting all that mushroom folks are talking about. A hefty wine, full of fruit. Bright cherries and raspberries. Almost like something coming out of Santa Maria in mid-California, with all that bright fruit. Good finish that is more subtle, more structure adn less fruit bomb than the first sip. Enjoyable, but I'm drinking it alone and for me this is clearly more a with-food wine.

What a difference ANOTHER four years made...Opened a bottle last night. Structure to beat the band. Great favors, cherries and a bit of tobacco. This still is callerable to my mind. Darn, only one bottle left!

I loved this when I first got it, but I opened a bottle this weekend and it was like a watercolor picture instead of an oil on canvas. It had structure, but little of the fruit I remembered. If you still have this one, start drinking it immediately.

Gorgeous cherry and blackberry with a long, earthy/mineral finish. A grown up and impressive wine that I wish I'd made mushroom risotto to go with!

Earthy and dark. While I agree the finish is a bit short, I absolutely disagree with many of the comments about this wine, which has attributes typical of a volcanic soil pinot from North Road/Ribbon Ridge. I find it rich and focused, with a sour cherry/dark berry flavor that works nicely.

I'd been more impressed with the Justice than the Zenith from this vintage but I hadn't done justice to the Zenith. After an extra year's cellaring, this has opened up into a terrific wine, with tart cherry, full body, long finish. Stupendous with a plate of blue cheese and venison pate we served with it.

I agree with those who found great dark fruit and goood sturcture. This is a wine good for drinking by itself or with a strong game meat. While a bit overpriced at $52 -- after all, ther are a lot of similar pinots in Pregon at $40-42 -- I felt this brought a lot to the table when paired with blue cheese or smoked meats.

Marechal Foch is not the most complex of wines, but the fruit is strong and the balance good. Not a complex wine, but one with great initiail taste and decent finish. As always, Amity underprices a denent glass

Gorgeous fruit up front, but needs a bit more structure. Soft up front and in need of a bit more tannin, but, as always with this vineyard, an impressive effort.

Took this bottle ot a restaurant last night. Needed only about 15 minutes to sip beautifully, darker red fruit, smooth, with great balance and a nice finish. Was a perfect match to both a strong blue cheese and a crispy pork confit. Very enjoyable

Solid but unspectacular. Dark fruit, some tannins, but the 55/45 CS/Merlot leaves too much softness to make this a truly good blend

With the 07s, Don's vines came of age. With the 08s, his wine explodes. The Brigita is billed as lighter and more Burgundian, but I found it full, rich, with strong dark fruit, a smooth feel, good tannins and a long finish. This is a superb bottle of wine that can drink now or lie for years

Nice dark color, dark fruit full in the mouth, tannins a bit less than desired, but still good. A nice drink-alone wine, but went well with a steak adn blue cheese salad. I would not hold as long as some folks have indicated. I don't think this lasts until 2014. 2012 maybe, but quite nice until then.

A touch soft but with good acidity for a tempranillo. Dark fruit flavors. Went superbly with Ropa Vieja and Cuban spices.
