Now, this is the stuff of legends and rightly so.i see one of the users wrote i will die i happy man for having had this wine, i second that. That botle was flawless and certainly the greatest wine I have ever had. Tasted at the same time as the 1947 cheval blanc and the cheval got a heavy trouncing. The power and elegance is riveting, the wine goes on for ever. Too good to analyse or describe. Truly a gem1

A nice wine with a very soft and enticing nose. Rather weird for latour. Roses, lemons, salt and blueberries. But searing high levels of tanin but well counterbalanced by the substance of the wine. Needs meat but could be sumptuous.

Still very nice but an aged feel. No bubbles. Could be because it was badly stored in the beginning. Still lovely.

Wonderful colour, no bricking at all, slightly lighter colour if anything. A lush and vibrant cherry colour and all the tones of a wonderful musigny. Still very young and fresh on the nose, very mineral too.

Now this is a giant wine, and a bit of an anecdote, 1982 being the last vintage vinified by the father before he passed the flag to his son. Intense purity of everything. The wine is still extremely present and subtle. Deep golden colour but no age on the colour. Same in the nose, aromas are deliniated and pure, whilst one nows it is a meursault, no deep nuttiness. The characteristic floral charmes aromas and some tropical fruits. Nice taste and long finish. No hurry to drink this one, still an infant...

Great colour, no deep hues but gold all round, superb puligny nose, intense and profound, not overly floral. This has settled and is starting to show some secondary notes, mushroom and deep fruits. Great length.

The wine looks Garnet colored. The legs are Medium. It smells like Strawberry, Raisin, Espresso, Light toast, and Artichoke.

interesting and powerful grand cru chablis, drinking well now but no hurry. ni detailed note or tasting, served as aperitif but deserves a light fish at the mount, nose and taste not as intense as one would expect from a chablis grand cru. wait?

now, this is a wine drinking beautifully, exactly what a mature burgundy should taste of... very brown anne slightly red color, depth of color thin and slightly fadein, wonderful nose, very present and strong, mushroom, fruit, flowers, stone, beautiful taste, not powerful but extremely elegant and refined, above all a telltale vosnes, purity, class and no angles...

wonderful color no bricking very fresh and youthful. Amazing aromas of truffles and red fruits, did not have the intrinsic finesse and delicacy that 49 burgundy usually have but a very interesting and pleasant wine. still full of life with no sign of age.

magnificent wine, profound and subtle. too young, starting to open but not ready. no greenness on the nose or in the color so should not be too long... wonderful color, gold but not overly so, very lush and brilliant. wonderful, dreamy nose, not overly opulent, quite restrained but charming, not the austere lemony flavors one might get. Rather very interesting mushroom, vanilla and hay. drink 2015-2030

Good bottle, wine was a bit tired though. Showing well but slightly over the hill, got better with time, started musty but cleared up and showed lovely cedar and tobacco notes. Just brought back to Mauritius and drinking after 1,5 months in the cellar, could be atill affectedby the travel but did lack freshness...

Superb wine. Would give it 50 to 69 years less. Beautiful slender and light garnet color. No discoloration or bricking at all. Superb nose. Faded roses then red fruits and old paper bibou us smell, leather and wax. Taste goes on for ever, well over 10 mn. Totally in fume with the nose. A truly magical wine of great import. A real privilege to drink. Thank you Frederic.

Deliciious wine, very tight and drinking beautifully. Nice clean nose, starts with Geen lemon the fill up and toasty notes appear. Srange stage in it's development, rather short but drinking very nicely. Lacks a bit of fat. Not sure it will keep for much longer.

Drunk with Frederic at Tan Dinh. another example of glorious aged burgundy! this bottle was magnificent and singing. opened up on notes of red fruits and cherries, which stayed! very clean and enticing nose, still fresh and vibrant, mushroom and cut wood. lovely tannins, actually very present tannins, not overpowering but present. then slight nose of roses. a beauty and a testament to the 49 vintage in Burgundy.

drank with Frederic at Tan Dinh, extremely young. starts with a very reticent and nearly closed nose, revealing matter and mushroomy smells, then opens up and gives a very meursault nose of pain grille, noisettes etc, then fresh butter, green lemon, vanilla. a beauy, superb balance, very clean and fresh mouth, laser like precision. too bad it was drunk 6 to 10 years too soon...

Tasted with a great friend and connoisseur. An absolutely amazing wine. Shows the depth and beauty great burgundy can attain. At nearly 70, this wine is drinking perfectly. No sign of aging or bricking. Wonderful light and vibrant raspberry color, nearly no lightening of the edges. Rather unusual. The nose is absolutely fantastic, jumps out of the glass, clean and fresh, not mushroomy or decaying. Wonderful red fruits aromas, raspberry and cherries in alcohol. Clean fresh cut grass, field aromas. Mature pinots aromas but not decaying or aged. Perfect balance and depth. A truly magnificent wine.

Lovely wine. Fantastic nose, delicate and voluptuous. Really sumptuous. Cedar, rose, rosewood, camphor. Very interesting. Still big and powerful but tannins are gone... Served it cooler 13, and made all the difference. The alcohol did not show but when temp went up, notes of leather and mushroom appeared and started being vinous and alcohol started showing. Will not improve but drinking well and should remain the for three to five years
