Brick red in color. Decanted for an hour some rough edges at first but opened up nicely. Finish was shorter than anticipated but overall a nice wine.

Blackberry and blueberry fruit with a slight eucalyptus flavor profile. Tannins are still present at this stage and expect this to last for at least 5-7 more years. After three hours in decanter tannin softened.

Decanted 30 minutes prior to drinking with rack of lamb. Very approachable and a perfect pairing. Probably has two years left of aging potential. Drinking fabulously now.

Strawberry, plum, medium bodied Pinot noir with great acidity and decent finish. Great QPR for $10.99. Everyday drinking Pinot well worth the price point.

Dark cherry and chocolate on the nose. Mid palate the wine has good weight and the tannins have softened. The finish is a bit short and the bottle is probably ready to be drank now. Decanted for over an hour.

Strawberry and raspberry flavors with a bit of shiitake mushrooms on the mid palate. Very light bodied Pinot Noir but excellent QPR at $11. Great everyday drinking Pinot.

Sweet cherry and plum up front and you get some underbrush and forest floor in the mid palate. Finish lasts about 30 seconds on the palate. Still very young and should drink well for 5-10 years. At the price of $19-22 it's a great QPR.

Blackberry, blue fruit with a nice touch of chocolate and black licorice. Good finish lasting about 15-20 seconds. Great QPR for $29. Definately drinks like a $50 bottle of napa red Bordeaux blend. Wine Spectator got this one right at 92.

Medium bodied with black fruit. A little green and for my taste. Would not purchase again. Can find better fruit in napa for same price.

Flavors of cherry, strawberry, and blueberry, Touch of earth and cedar on the midpalate. Vanilla finish of sweet oak. Finish lasts about 10 seconds. Bottle had aged well given it is a 2008 Monteray pinot. Not a great vintage but is drinking well now for $14 value. Pretty decent Qpr. Drank alongside 2008 benton lane pinot noir willamette valley. This was much better and complex.

Muted nose. Black berries and red fruit present on the midpalate. The finish is short but enjoyably. An excellent everyday drinking wine and QPR. I would buy more of this at $12, but by know means a 92 point wine.

Decanted for 4 hours. Medium bodied red with flavors of cherry, violets, blackberry. Vanilla and cedar spice on the finish. Dry and dusty tannins. Very good QPR for $24. Chappellet always makes a great wine regardless of what it is.

Bing cherry and cedar present on the mid palate. Medium bodied red wine that has a spicy peppery finish. Nice acidity to the wine and should pair well with food. Was expecting more dark fruit given the 73% merlot and 27% Cabernet blend. Nice QPR though for $14.

Dark inky purple color in the glass. Decanted for two hours. Medium bodied with black and red fruit present. Slight bit of vanilla on the finish. Good everyday cab for the price but I do not see this bottle getting much more complex or better with age.

Nice everyday drinking pinot for $21. Cherry, Rasberry fruit and cola. Not a very long finish as this bottle has probably reached its potential for 2011. Drink and buy now if you can for $under $25.

Very strong tannins. Could use another two to three years in the bottle. Very nice chocolate blackberry fruit, with a slight bit of earth due to the Cabernet Franc.

Dark cherry fruit and vanilla on the finish. Only decanted for one hour but I would be sure to decant next time for an additional hour or two. Still a very young wine. Gary Farrell always produces quality pinot noir.

Had a bad bottle as well. Very musty smell, pungent like mushrooms and burnt sage. Could taste the dark fruit but something was not right with the bottle. I have one left hopefully my luck will be better on number two.

Decanted for an hour and a half. Nice blackberry fruit and vanilla oak on the finish. Expected more, as far as the complexity of the fruit. It never opened up the way I had hoped it would. Overall a nice cab from napa for the price point.
