First try at a Barolo. Bouquet of Roses and some Cherry on the nose.
More of the same on the palette. High Alcohol not noticeable. Seemed medium bodied. Not much acidity or tannis. Felt like a Barbaresco. Pleasurable wine.

Flawed bottle? First try at a Kabinett. Hay and some lime on the nose. Very little if any acidity. Very sweet, almost like fruit juice.

PNP. Losing some color. No formal notes as I had over dinner with the wife and a friend. Held up well with good balance. Probably at peak or close too. Really good value. Could have easily fooled me at a higher price point. Nice job Jon.

Better than expected at this price point. Vanilla, white chocolate and leather on the nose. As others have stated, nice concentrated fruit. Also contained fruit. Not over powering. Melts in your mouth. These are the types I like the best.

Almost the same notes as the first bottle except this one had ok acidity and a good ting to it. Some lemon and lime on the nose. A little grapefruit and Lime. On the palette less of the Grapefruit and lime and some added honey. Did not feel any acidity. That is why no rating. Have two bottles left.

Consistent with my previous notes.Pale in color. On the nose Grapefruit and Lemon with a hint of Pineapple.
Popped and poured. First taste seemed dull and uninspiring. Waited about 45 minutes and tasted something entirely different. Yes, Grapefruit and lemon peel . OK acidity and bite. Chalky and minerality.
Not sweet at all like a NZ SB.

Second bottle. Popped and poured.Sweet Blueberries on the nose. On the palette blueberries and plums with a little spice. Mild tannin and decent bite at the end. Finish was mild. Label states 14% alcohol. Did not taste as such. Really well balanced. Probably out performs more expensive wines. At $14.00 dollars this was a steal.

Second bottle in two years. Almost the same notes as the first bottle. A contained alcohol nose with Liquorice and Blackberry. Oak and Some heated spice which dissipates after a few sips. Thick texture and decent length finish.Powerful. Not a wine for everyone as it is "in your face". Not sure if I'm a fan of Shiraz. Will have to try a few more.

Nice clear color. Gave it about 1/2 hour of air. On the nose. Sweet plums, white chocolate, a hint of oak and slight sweet Cherries. Palette showed less plums, more cherries, milk chocolate and a touch of violets. Tannin's were mild and finish was medium. Well balanced. Overall a good made wine. A wine I would purchase again.

On the nose, Raspberries, Roses and and very little oak. Fruit forward on the palette. Dark Cherries, sour Blueberries and a touch of oak. Did not feel very dry to me. Tannin was low but understandable for the varietals.Medium bodied. Finish was OK. Overall I felt there was good balance to this wine. Had with Meat Loaf, mashed potatoes and corn. Good pairing I thought.
Mr Bell and Miss Renshaw make good wines.

Let me prefix this note with saying I'm not a big fan of Chardonnay. With that said I had high hopes that this bottle with it's supposedly fine Provence and age would be something special or at least satisfying.
Popped and gave it about an 15 minutes of air. On the nose as with most Chardonnay not much. A little hay and a medicinal odor. On the palette heavy oak. Almost like walking into a cabin on a rainy day.Oxidation? Checked the cork and it looked fine. A little lime but mostly wet wood. Flat and a short finish.
To be fair this wine is probably past it's drinking window. I have one bottle left. What to do?

On the nose, Rose petals, Vanilla and a touch of Cinnamon. The palette shows more of the same minus the Cinnamon and with a hint of dark Cherries. Really good balance. Soft Tannin's and decent finish. This is a really good wine. Not over the top like a lot of whats out there now. I purchased one bottle at the winery this past summer when the wife and I took a trip to visit some of the wineries in the Finger Lakes. I really wish I had purchased a few more bottles.
