Enjoyed with family over dinner in Provence. Light golden yellow in color. Reminiscent of a Lopez de Heredia white in some ways. Nose reminds me of an aged German Auslese, with more subtle petrol aromas. Stone fruit aromas. Palate is fresh with beeswax and orange peel. Finishes fresh and lively. At its peak right now.

Nice pleasant nose. Palate is fresh and clean. A nice Cabernet that has aged well. Definitely pleasureable.

On its way down. A nice amount of fruit left. Booze sticks out a bit. Drinking nicely though.

Very very dark in color. Smells like a stour beer without fizz. Chocolate, smoke, coffee and a bit of a tawny port/coffee cake smell. Palate is very dark chocolatey.

I like it, but its a bit over the hill. Rustic, brick red. Pruny. Tastes a bit like some aged Dry Creek Zinfandels I have tasted.

2010 La Lunotte Haut Plessis Vin de France Menu Pineau, Arbois (view label images)
Fresh, citrusy smelling nose with a hint spice. Palate is a lot like a jurancon sec with quince notes.

This wine comes from a half acre plot of very old vines that Labet only makes about fifty cases of. He uses no chemicals in the vineyard and little intervention in the cellar. Completely destemmed and fermented with native yeasts. Pressed and transferred to old barriques and bottled after 9 months without fining or filtration.

Pale red in color. Red fruited nose with supple tannin and mineral laden palate. Very very nice wine.

Dark fruits and a bit of spice and vanilla on the nose. Palate is farly lush with nice dark berry fruits. A very nice wine and easy to drink. Would pair nicely with Spanish Chorizo dishes or Feijoada. Not an obvious Tempranillo though. I would be stumped tasting this blind.

Cherry and minerally nose. Palate is nice and fresh but lacking a bit on depth. To me this wine is more of a bistro/food wine. Nice and fresh with medium tannins not too green.

Texture is so fat in this wine. Subtle aromas of nuts and apple. Palate is so rich but fresh at the same time.

A reductive earthy nose. Palate is nice and ripe with a nice kiss of oak. Similar in style to Oregon.

Cigar box and voilets on the nose. Palate is stony and spicy with a nice ripe tannins. Probably way too young and will develop much more.

For a wine that is getting a good decanting----being drunk right now----and with some prepared food.----This is a great wine! But this is not the type of wine for me to want to have more than a glass or two. I could not finish a bottle of this. Very massive and tannic. Tastes like Syrah from Remond Barrels. Love this wine for what it is, but for my own personal taste it is way to over-extracted and high in alcohol.

Out of Magnum.... Probably opened a bit too late.. Dark cherries and space on the nose. But its a bit of a VA/EA thing going on. Also a little hot on the finish.

Dark black and purple fruits on the nose. Still a bit tight on the palate but showing very nice freshness. My kind of Touriga. Opened too early. Should be more accessible in about 5 years.

This is an impressive wine. Nose of pork fat and dark chocolate. Palate is austere and racy with meaty cherry covered tannins. Good for a least another 4-5 years.. Nice bottle of wine.

Tasted along side a 1998 Leoville Barton.... Very nice... Has a bit of a Northern Rhone smell to bit. Nose is very earthy, tomatoey and herbaceous but in a good way....Very nice and I think this has of course a long long way to go. Not showing a lot of secondary characteristics.

pretty much spot on with prior tasting notes. I think this wine is in a dumb phase and will loosen up and gain some weight in another 5. It was a nice wine to drink but it was much more austere than I thought.

Very fresh! A bit of cork seepage didnt seem to change the wine. Nose is full of smoky, nutty, pineapple goodness. The palate is rich but fresh with layers of cream, toast and cloves. Love it. Very much ringer for White Burg.

I agree with the note from July 2009. I have also noticed this in a lot of Camerons that I have cellared. Its a bummer because they are so fresh and pure in their youth and then they take on the reductive character with bottle age. Underneath the burnt rubber flavors and aromas there is a classic Dundee Hills nose of spice and fresh red fruits. The reduction wont blow off though :(

Nose to tar, cherries, smoke and a bit of tobacco. Palate has softened but tannins are still a bit edgy. Oak needs time to integrate. Not a big Bordeaux fan but this was a nice drop.

Interesting bottle of wine. 90% Vermentino (Rolle) 10% Ugni Blanc. Nose is similar to NZ Sauv blanc with some floral, tropial notes. Palate is very interesting and possibly a bit heavy handed on the oak. Almonds, pears and cloves on the palate with a lush but lively finish. I like it but I think the oak was a little too much.

Had the 2002 yesterday. Much more alive and balanced. I don't think the 02 had the concentration to hold up to the alc. The 03 is still very fresh showing earth, chocolate, crushed berries, pie crust and toasty vanilla notes. The palate is integrated shed some weight from its youth. Tannins are round and coat a very long finish.

Coffee, oak, cigar box and a little bit of reduction on the nose. Palate is very fresh and full of minerals and currant flavors. Not really what I was expecting. Doesnt have a typical Bordeaux nose/palate. Reminds me more of a mature Northern Rhone. Like the 98 Jaboulet La Chapelle I had recently.

Nose is full of black cherries and flowers with a bit of forest floor. Palate is a bit austere and finishes a bit tart but overall its a very good wine.. Much different than other OwenRoe Pinots I have had. More red fruit dominated and a less oak than other bottlings..

Nose is very oak dominated and lacking a much fruit. Very flinty nose with a little bit of Sauvignon like smells coming out. Palate is very ripe and viscous with fig and vanillin flavors that coat the whole palate. Its pretty heavy handed wine. Keep in mind that I am tasting it at room temp. I'm not sure what I would pair with this wine.

Deep and dark and very concentrated. I think I opened this up a good 5 years to young. Nose shows a lot of h2s and ethyl sulfate smells. Palate is a monster. That tannins are very ripe but still a but grippy. Popped and poured. I'm sure the funkiness would blow off with some air. Just got back from 3 months in Tasmania... Needed something to pour and something big and red. Still learning to appreciate sangiovese.

Not sure but I think 1991 was not a good year the Cote de Nuits. Nose does not offer much. Some very burgundy like aromas but not very expressive. Palate is very light and astringent. Kirsch, stone and earth aromas and flavors. Not over the hill but not offering much either.
