2012 Moon Curser Dead of Night Okanagan Valley VQA Red Blend

Stunning red blend from the okanagan valley in BC. I don’t recall the varietals but it was an interesting blend (I think) of non-Bordeaux grapes. Depth, tannic structure, balanced flavors of oak, dark fruit, acid - just beautiful.

4/5/20, 4:09 PM - The grapes are Tannat and Syrah, roughly 50-50%. Moon Curser is, I think, the only producer in the Okanagan growing Tannat (or at least it was for a long time, but lots of new activity there now.)

Lightly acid, deep purple ruby color, good for red meats,. Notes of black berries, plum
Very good finish
