I loved this one right from the start and every mouthfull thereafter! Fruity and rich, fresh, balanced, all at once. Punchy but also light footed, smooth tannins and a loong aftertaste. Excellent wine!

Phillip Wittmann makes some really outstanding wines and this #erstelage #westhofener #riesling 2019 is no exception. Dry and full of minerality, savoury fruit, peaches, mandarins, with a salty and good acidity but also a special richness in the fruit. One to drink now or wait some . . . 10 years to enjoy it a bit more matured.

Super Sicilian, lots of fruit, vitality, earthtones, long pleasant aftertaste. Still young, keep for 10+ years.

One very fine wine from the USofA. Great concentration, savoury, superfine balance, elegant, fresh acidity, lightly oaked, long lush aftertaste.
Still a bit too young, wait at least 5+ years before opening the next.

Gi den litt luft og den gir deg en frisk og balansert opplevelse med silkefin frukt og god ettersmak.

So far one of the better, matured, champagne I have tasted. Great mousse, rich mature taste, brioche, dried fruit and almonds, superfine bubbles, long lasting.

Lovely concentrated, well balanced, lush taste of red berries like mature strawberry and raspberries, smoky and some chocolate, fresh tannin structure, noticeable use of whole bunches with some dryness on the out. Savoury long aftertaste with a well integrated acidity.

After 2 days open bottle the fruit settles and shows maturity and freshness that is spesial and also shows that this is a special nice vintage. Raspy tannins, vibrant fruit, long and savoury out.

a bit disappointed on this one. Lacing some fruit and intensity.
The body is medium. The wine has round texture, medium finish and medium acidity.

This is still a favourite of mine. The concentration in Peter Weimer wines is out of this world. I am in the best place when drinking them. Too bad he stopped producing, though #gianlucacolombo #reva has taken over the production this wine still needs a day to open up👌

Superb wine that is in a good place in life right now. The richness in the fruit is incredible, the balance impeccable and the acidity is still present to keep the wine alive and kicking. Wish I had some more btls of this one!

Who would have thought that it would pair really well with mountain pig burger? Well, it did, quite nicely in fact. The juiciness of the burger and the maturity and slight sweetness from the wine came together and made it a combination to remember.

Beautiful light with dark tones on the scent, which is reflected in the taste but embroidered and delivers great dark fruit, black currants, silky balance, slightly bitter finish
serve slightly cool at 14º C. A wonderful and powerful wine that goes well with autumn's stronger dishes

orino Barolo - 2012 was a difficult vintage changing from hailstorms, rain and intense heat. This one from Corino has some subdued and earthy soft fruit that cleared up after some hours in the decanter. Still it showed earthy tones with raspy tannins, medium+ acidity and a bit warmth from the 15% alcohol level. It might benefit from more time in the bottle although I am not sure. Time will tell.

Knox Alexander, named after Jim Clendenens son, is a specially fine pinotnoir. It is intens, lean an silky at the same time. Bright fruit with yammy taste of rasberries and mature strawberry. Lightly oaked and savoury long aftertaste.

Great wine, cool label. Still way too young but what a potential!
You just know this one will be fantastic in 10-20 years from now. Extreme concentration, lots of underlying fruit, some taste of apple pie, lemon peal, lovely acidity, salty, dry and long long lingering aftertaste. Great wine.

Extremly well balanced wine, lighthearted but yet powerful. Slender with louring power and long aftertaste and with a light breeze of acidity that is like a wail. Lightly oaked.

Full body, rich but elegant with medium + acidity. Mature taste of rasberries, cherries and blueberries, with dry tannins and higher acidity on the out. Needed 1 hour in the decanter to open up.

This wine has a scent of summer meadow, and fresh fruits. Flavors of pear, ripe apples and hazelnuts, with a clear minerality and a light residual sweetness that balances against a fresh acid that makes the wine to "melt" on the palate. The wine has a particularly nice balance and a fine, long finish.

Very beautiful and mineral on the nose, with great concentration, lime and strong minerality. Slightly fresh acidity and very good and long aftertaste. A great wine that may benefit from lying in the cellar for a few years (3-5) before tasting the next bottle :)
